  • Went wild camping up in the Lake District National Park. I've always wanted to camp over by Small Water and it didn't disappoint. Despite having a cold, I had a great time testing out the new Dipole 1p. Just a fantastic trekking pole tent... Feel free to reach out with any questions about gear and such. Cheers.

You made a nice film there Alex. I've not seen that tent before, I agree with you about the Footprint idea. I did the same on my last trip. Take care Grant 👍.

      @@grantswheelstohills much appreciated Grant!
This tent is my favorite by a long shot (even after only it for almost a year, lol). It’s got lots of room, weighs under 1 kg with all the pegs/cords and the solid inner is nice for wind and rain…
      Cheers buddy!

@@sebastianwhpx298 Hi Sebastian. I ended up playing tourist quite a bit since I caught a pretty bad cold. Hopefully I’ll return around October and do more camps.
      Cheers buddy 🍻

Hi Alex. Great to see you back out. Lovely video. That tent looks a solid option for sure. You should try a nyloflume pack liner. Cheap, ultra light, waterproof and tough for what it is. Keeps everything in pack dry and no need for a cover. 👍

@@garynesbitt5078 Thanks for that recommendation Gary. I just placed an order for one. It seems like a simple and effective choice.
      All the best 🍻

I'm on the lookout for a lightweight spacious 1 man that can fit stuff in and is ok in wind and rain (ie. the UK 😂) so thanks for showing this tent, looks good.
Great relaxed informative style youve got.

@@Chilternwildcamper if you don’t mind a trekking pole tent, this on is fantastic... Lots of features and solid in the wind with the additional guy lines.
Glad you liked the video. ATB 👍

    Hi,
Lovely video. I just wondered how you edited your videos, if there was a special programme or something?
Tent looks interesting. I have an xmid but find it flaps in my face a lot during wind. How does that compare?

      @@lloydcozens9346 Hey there!
I use a program called Final Cut Pro. It takes a little bit of learning, but there are plenty of good TH-cam videos on how to use this editor.
I purchased the X-mid 1 before this one and found it too small for my liking. And yes, it’s not as sturdy in the wind. The Dupole (silpoly version) does surprisingly well.
Hope this helps! All the best…
