How do we get from a star schema to an event model to support self-service analytics in Mixpanel

Thank you very much for your explanation of the difference between the star schema and the event schema. As a BI practitioner, I use the star schema almost all the time, and I wasn't so sure about the second one. Is there a resource you can recommend to learn more about the Event Schema and Event analytics in general?
