Technically since the Clone Wars TV series gave light to the inhibitor chip, the clones didn't really know what they're about to do until the order is given.
+KodaJosh098 and that really ruins it, a chip that makes you turn evil is a pretty silly concept, the order 66 without the chip becomes more powerful, a faceless, nameless soldier that becomes trapped in the gears of the warmachine, orders are orders even if they mean turning on people you deem your friends, heck, that's what happens in real life
+Carlos .Juárez No it make the clones have no personality at all. The chip concept actual shows them being forced against their will and not automatically turn bad because of some order, even when they knew jedi all their life and made Friends with their commanders.
You should read "Ordinary Men." It's a book that delves into how normal people can do terrible, terrible things by focusing on a German police unit which was ordered to kill Polish Jews during the Holocaust. Like Carlos Juarez, I'm against the chip idea. This mission's monologue is a hell of a lot more powerful than clones being physically controlled by a chip. You're right in saying being forced against their wills is what makes it so powerful, but you've got it flipped; the chip removes that conflict, but forcing yourself to follow an order you disagree with is exactly why the monologue states some of the clones had rebellious thoughts. They didn't turn "bad" because of the order, but rather ultimately gave into their trust in the Chancellor and killed as they were ordered to kill.
Jesus Christ it just puts in perfect perspective how embarrassing EA’s battlefront 2 was. The script in this is pretty goddamn decent and the voice acting always on point Why can’t we just have an expansion with a 501st campaign and fix Star cards
To me this was the Best mission in the campaign, and the others that mixed factions from each the Era like the Clones versus stormtroopers, Droids vs Imperials were also great. Those Kind of missions were ahead of their time and the recent EA Battlefronts haven’t captured that same quality. Unless you have the pc version and just mod the Battles. Fingers crossed one day we see Battlefront 2’s Story get a Remake that gives more depth to the story of a 501st Veteran while still staying true to the original by having the Journals detailing the events right before we experience it for ourselves.
There’s just something so much more cold, professional, and calculated about the clones willingly following order 66 rather than having a chip in their brain…

My only complaint about this mission is that the Jedi go down like hero units, so they only kneel down when killed. It's kind of immersion breaking. Now I get it, they're probably modeled after the animations of the hero units, which probably didn't have proper death animations made up for them, but we see in the cutscenes that they do seem to die normally there. You really don't feel like you're actually killing jedi in this mission
A rushed game. A campaign made entirely of slightly modified skirmish maps. No fancy movie-level cutscenes with tons of CGI. And yet that short little intro where he tells his story was simply perfect. Chilling, even today.
I have this game on PS2 and beat it on elite earlier this year, but it took me like 12 hours. I only completed this mission as Anakin by using his force sprint-saber whirl combo; if that's not used, I just get stun locked by the jedi and killed *DED.* That's a really creative move you did rolling over the obstacle approaching the first command post. For the Empire!

On 1:59 You'll see the first Jedi with a Green Bo Staff Lightsaber on the middle by pausing, in both Star Wars 3 Revenge of the Sith game, and in Star Wars Battlefront 2 Mission Knightfall there are Jedi Enemies with Bo Staff Lightsabers, and when you think about it there were Jedi that we're killed Off Screen, some of the Jedi that got Killed off screen must have had Bo Staff Lightsabers, the reasons Jedi didn't often use Bo Staff Lightsabers is because they needed serious training to learn to use it, and the VERY FIRST Bo staff Lightsaber originated from the Sith empire back the First Sith Started, sometimes it can corrupt them completely to the Darkside, Jedi Master Pong Krell in Star Wars the Clone Wars did get corrupted having both a Blue Bo Staff Lightsaber, and Green Bo Staff Lightsaber, also they were more difficult to create than single bladed lightsaber plus more hard to make then Crossguard Lightsabers. But mostly needed PROPER Training to master Lightsaber Advance Form of Fighting Optimal Seven Juyo/VAAPAD to learn how to use it without becoming a Sith only becoming Jedi High Consularian, Jedi Knight, even Jedi sentinel Temple Guards that used Orange Saberstaffs, plus used Yellow saberstaffs, but mostly Jedi Sentinel Temple Guards most of the time used Yellow Bo Staff Lightsabers.
