I think it makes sense that your curls last longer on dry hair. I had a Dyson specialist show me yesterday how to use all the attachments and he recommended to pass the smoothing brush through the section first, to dry and smooth it and then use the curl attachment.
My husband got me a Dyson Airwrap as an early Christmas gift (thank you black Friday deals 😂). I'm so happy I found this video! As someone who never bothered to style hair (max just having it brushed properly), I feel less scared of using it now. And also I love how clear you in everything! Thank you!
Thank you so much for all the info. Best airwrap tutorial I've seen. I especially appreciate you showing day 2, 3. I was so sad having spent so much money on the tool and curls not holding.
You are such a life saver ! I wish I would’ve watched this video before all the other tutorials I watched. This is the only technique that made it work! Before the curls litterally weren’t even lasting long enough to finish my whole head
You are the only reason my stick straight, fine hair even works with my Dyson! The not using the cool shot tip really saved me. Thaaaaaank yooouu!! ❤❤❤
I’m going to try your method! Hoping it works as well for me. Edit: I do think this worked! Omitting the cold shot makes complete sense as far as barrel temp goes. Also saved me time. Unsure if dry hair was the move for me or if slightly damp is still better.. although the hair wrapped around cleaner while dry.
Thank you so much for this video! First video I have seen by someone with naturally straight hair. It is very difficult for my hair to hold a curl, so I really appreciate this; also, thank you for showing us the follow-up results for the next three consecutive days. Amazing!
I feel at a loss with mine. I use the same method as you and the products and I feel like I look like a poodle then it drops in an hour and my hair isn’t as smooth, it looks almost messy cuz of the amount of hairspray it needs to remotely stay put.
This is so helpful! Just airwrapped my hair as I followed along with you. I even used the living proof 5 in 1! So hoping my curls last 🙏🏻 Thank you for the informative video ❤❤❤
@@yehfish88 I guess so. Finding the right product matters imo. Also I purchased the .8 barrel separately from Dyson and the curls def lasted longer. The curls last a long time in my daughters hair - way longer than in mine. If you get the airwrap make sure you can return it in case it doesn’t work for you. My curls don’t stay all that great but I still love the way my hair looks after using it.
Thank you so much for your tips 😍 (especially putting the bottom layer in a scrunchie when you move to the top)! 🤯 So smart! I always end up sucking in finished curls when I move to a new layer. Can’t wait to try your technique out!
i was in a hurry and didnt use the cool shot w my curls, and i think your theory about getting up to temp is so true bc my curls did last and look so much better.. plus im moving the curls out of the way so they can cool on its own anyway
Your so right about the cool shot. I never use it either. I always curl my hair with the airwrap with my hair fully dry, i do have to add a lot of product tho for my curls to hold since I have fine hair. But i curl it and then pin it, when i do this my curls last until next wash day which for me is 5 days.
