- Saint-Moritz (Sankt-Moritz) lays in the upper Engadin and is known for its wonderful surrounding, in particular for its 3 major lakes. This world famous resort attracts many rich people from allover the world. While staying in St. Moritz might be expensive, there are numerous places to stay in the nearby region. Do explore the lake of St. Moritz, head over to Silvaplana to see the Silvaplanersee, where people do windsurfing and then last to Sils. The lake of Sils is my favorite one with a hidden spot, which is really beautiful! There are many surfing competitions going on here, why some people say it's the mecca of surfing in Switzerland. The surfing is going to be a bit different, because the Engadin is up in the Swiss Alps and the water of the lakes is very cold.

Sils was my favorite of these three. The rock outcropping that forms the peninsula is really beautiful.

My favorite is Silsersee with the beautiful village Sils. In café Grond you can drink the best cappuccino and café fertig and dat the best apfelstrüdel. We went there several times and it was always a pleasure. Love from Belgium

My favourite of the 3 is Silsersee. I was there in the autumn of 2010 taking in the beauty of the place that brought years to my eyes. Glad to see it again here. ♥️

Silvaplana lake spells perfection!
I used to like the lake of Silvaplana the most. Now i prefer the lake of Sils :)

Hi Ana. Please visit Switzerland again. I suggest this time you come in Summer or if you really want to revisit the Engadin region, then 2nd half of October might be very nice! I made a video about lake Saoseo, it will give you an idea of how the Engadin and Bernina will be during that time.

Hey Diana. Danke für deinen Kommentar. Gerne würde ich meine Videos auf CH Deutsch machen, das wird mir aber den TH-cam Algoritmus verwirren, was sich für den Kanal als schädlich auswirken würde. Wenn dann eher auf einem separaten Kanal.
Its a great video from the Upper Engadin, The engadin you can visit in any season, its deppend to you what you wanna do. The great thing is you dont need a car to go there. its much better you take the train from Zurich or you fly to Milan and take the Bernina Express to St.Moritz. Both train journey they are beautieful.

Long time viewer! Have traveled Switzerland multiple times. An interesting idea for another video would be an off the beaten path Switzerland like a 7-10 day tour all via train tour of the country - avoiding the main tourist sites most of us have seen. You have introduced us to so many cool new places in CH that we want to see. Just not sure how to pull an itinerary off for the next time we visit.

I'm from Argentina and I'm a big fan of your channel . I just bought the flying tickets to go visit Switzerland for 3 months (JUN-AUG), do you think that it's possible to visit almost all the cantons and fabulous places in the country in that time ? . I'm thinking of buying the swiss travel pass for those 3 months and the place where I'm staying is a house of a relative in Zurich , so maybe I can visit a lot of places going and returning the same day with the train so I can save a lot of money that way . Hi Leandro! Wow! That sounds so amazing! I think in 3 months you can see really a lot! I definitely would try to take these things into your list: Visiting traditional villages, lakes, hiking to alpine lakes, hiking up to a summit, doing a hike along a Bisse, Visiting the Matterhorn, Lauterbrunnen valley, some major waterfalls, Ticino, Verzasca Valley, Lavaux, Maggia Valley, Upper and lower Engadin, seeing Luzern, Aletsch Glacier and more. I guess with a travel pass you would end up saving a lot of money, because renting a car is going to be more expensive on long-term. I wish you all the best luck for good weather and a happy and very memorable trip! Enjoy June, because then its not yet peak season! In the meantime, I keep revealing more places of Switzerland :)

I think they are all open. In general swimming is possible almost everywhere im Europe. Its just always at your own risk. But you have the advantage of having a large choice of places. If it wud be dangerous they wud put signs

Hi Kurten. You can do Sailing, swimming, rowing a boat, windsurfing and kite surfing. There is no banana boat though.
