There is something magical about Bach,s organ pieces. Once started you listen, and wonder where its all going, then you get those lovely pieces which makes you listen even more, and before you now it, time has really moved on.
This music is a real gift and blesssing. It resonates with eternity and thus enables my mind to cease its incessant chatter and be quiet. There is no reliving or regretting my past or worrying about my future that doesn't exist yet, only the eternal,perfected NOW. J S Bach was truly INSPIRED. Thank you

I dearly love Ton Koopman, but BWV 731 is monstrously too fast; Bach could never have endured so intimate a piece played that fast, demanding ~2:45, not 1:50!

One of the most irksome things about performers today is their horrid carelessness when executing Bach's ornamentation that he so carefully wrote out, wrongly opining that the general Baroque predilection for utterly free improvisation applies to Bach, as he made clear in his extant autographs was clearly NOT the case.
I consider the fundamental question regarding Bach's ornaments to be whether they should be played 'measured', i.e., integrated with the metrical structure, or with rhythmic freedom. I believe the measured approach is generally best (and is in accord with Bach's table of ornaments he wrote for WF). But art demands freedom.
Me encantan los Organos de este constructor! y tambien los de Arp Schnitger! lastima que las restauraciones las hicieron demasiado profundas con lo que no estoy para nada de acuerdo. si pretendia que el instrumento vuelva a sonar como cuando era nuevo! deberia haber hecho una replica. en lugar de fundir la tuberia original y volver a fabricarlos con este procedo destruyeron todo el sonido original ya que la manufactura y tecnicas de epoca en la construccion fueron muy diferentes a las de hoy en dia. El Barroco!!! fue la epoca de mayor culminacion en el Arte! de la Organeria! Musica! Compositores! Arquitectura! y mucho mas! que no todos! tienen la capacidad de reconocer aceptar ni respetar. Ton Koopman!!! un Genio!!! un verdadero interprete de la Musica! Antigua! es lo mas parecido a como sonaba en la epoca! Yo estoy a cargo de un Organo Bryceson de 1864 lo restaure con un amigo en el año 2000 respetando todas sus normas de epoca y le aplicamos el temperamento Mesotonico Classic. ya que los inglesen adoptaron este temperamento hasta cais mediados del siglo XX. su tuberia lamentablemente esta incompleta. no sabemos que paso pero el resto conserba estas cosas solo suceden en argentina... un pais de ignorantes y brutos que no saben ni tienen idea de nada que sea Historico! todo lo destruyen estoy muy amargado! e indignado! ☹
