City Hunter OST - Memories of Love (Guitar Solo)
Found this old video which I recorded on December 07, 2013, during our vacant time on our university campus when I'm at my second-year college, using an earlier version of an android phone, owned by a good friend of mine. (I'm still using a keypad phone by that time.)
This is me when I still have no idea about legato playing, proper phrasing, controlling dynamics, listening to the “death” of the note, etc., and also the time when I'm still dreaming to have a "real" classical guitar, especially a Smallman Guitar for I'm a John Williams fan. (He is the reason why I fell in love with the guitar.) I remember that when I was in college, all I have was an ordinary, made of plywood, steel-string guitar, which later on I've installed with cheap nylon strings just to get the sound of my dream instrument, although I know that’s impossible for a guitar of this price range! 😅
Today, I'm still not a pro and I believe I'm far from that, and I'm still dreaming to have a "good" classical guitar for I'm just using a student model today. At least I now have a smartphone which I used to record most of my videos here on my channel: an old iPhone 5 given to me by my guitar teacher! (Still can’t buy a new one.) 😅😅😅
Speaking of "guitar teacher," I'm forever grateful because of Jacob Blom, who offered me classical guitar lessons for free! I owe a lot to this great person! With his help, I have proven that while learning from books can give us a lot of information, learning from a guitar teacher in a face-to-face setting is an invaluable experience!
