Didn't say it explicitly in the video, but... YES Pujol is totally worth the splurge IMO. Here are the links to make a reservation; Tasting Menu (what we had in this video): www.opentable.com/r/menu-degustacion-pujol-mexico-city & Taco Omakase: www.opentable.com/r/menu-barra-de-tacos-pujol-ciudad-de-mexico Booking 2+ months in advance should do the trick, but if you can't find a reservation you can always email them to join the waitlist at INFO@PUJOL.COM.MX
It's always funny watching guest try and figure out how to eat their food. The avocado puree was put there to hold the toastada in place. Had to list it just incase of allergen.
Really enjoyed this video 😃🙌🏼 In 2022 i started to get really interested in making fancy desserts etc. And right now im watching all the top 50 michelin resturants! So much good in this video 😍
I love that. I was never a dessert guy/sweet tooth person _until_ I started eating at "fine dining" places. Then the desserts ended up being my favorite courses
The Negroni and the tequila martini were so good! Please let me know if you go! The tuna starter is way better than the ones at Contramar (which are very good in their own right!)
When we visited drinks (cocktails) were ~$20. When I checked their menu a few weeks ago (sorry lost the site/tab/qr code) drinks were closer to $25-30 IIRC. Very expensive by any standards. I believe there are beers
Thanks to your video, I guess I'll make a reservation to visit Pujol next month when I go to CDMX (1st time was last year). I saw your video about Guzina Oaxaca as well....love the mole from that restaurant. Can't wait to eat good food.
Yay! Please let me know what you think once you to to Pujol! Guzina Oaxaca is so good! We didn't make it back to Polanco on our last trip but will make sure to next time. Thank you for watching & your comment! Cheers!
Great video! I’d like to go there when I’m CDMX. How far in advance did you have to make reservations? And I’m not sure I’ve ever heard you say but, are you fluent in Spanish?
Hi Ken, thank you so much!! I'd say "it depends", but typically ~2 months should do the trick. Eating earlier in the day and/or on a weekday vs weekend also helps! I am not fluent in Spanish, but we are typically pretty comfortable in a restaurant setting. When we went to go get our COVID tests...not so much 😅
I originally thought the taco omakase was kind of gimmicky. After seeing the dishes firsthand, I sincerely want to try it. Most people eat the traditional tasting menu. Grabbing a res for the Omakase is much more difficult as they only offer one seating per day. It also costs (at least) double as it includes drink pairings. Please let me know if you go have the Omakase!
definatelyely I will never would go to Pujol, I prefer to eat real tacos for less price and the flavor should be better than expensive food in that restaurant. Also looks ridiculous to eat ceviche with tortillas. But good for the experience!

Getting a kitchen tour was SUPER cool! Now I need to go back to CDMX just to eat the taco omakase.
My bad! We will book way in advance to do the taco omakase next time!

Very cool kitchen tour!!! Always my favorite ❤️
Always love getting a look behind the scenes! Need to do a better job asking in the future! 👀
@@intristang yes, I wouldn’t have thought they would agree yet they were so cool about it.
@@TamaraSoemali they offered because they noticed me filming/wearing the headphones ha
Hoping to go soon 😎🤘
Negroni looks like something I may try.
That tuna starter looks killer 🔥

Booked my reservation yesterday! Could share what was the extra cost for the drinks? Thanks for sharing you experience.

Go to Ticuchi, a Mezcal bar the best in the city, the owner is also Enrique Olvera,
Is it also in Polanco? It sounds familiar (and I may have it pinned on Google Maps), but I haven't been there yet. Thanks for the recc Jorge!
Wow can’t believe u actually was wearing those headphones at the restaurant
Hahaha, it got us invited to the kitchen though! 😅
Congratulations! I'm hungry....
Thank you 😋 You and me both 😅
The best rest all northamerica, on top ten all the world
It deserves it, too! So good
Haven’t heard much people talk about which menus they prefer or which is better. What have you heard ?

how much did you guys paid???
I don't remember. Our visiting friends treated us.
I think it's up to ~2,000-2,200 pesos as of Nov 2023 though
Also, if I look uncomfortable, it’s because I’m trying really hard to act like I belong in a fancy restaurant
😂😂😂
Felicidades
iMuchisimas gracias!
The carrot things??? lol
You usually burn your mouth so seeing it was too cold made me laugh!!! Hope the Mezcal prevented Brain 🥶
Looks like I need perfectly room temp foods 🥶
👍👍👍

Definitely hear you! We enjoyed it, but I guess it's not for everyone!
I cannot believe it was hot for you????
You never know with chilies. One in ten or 30 might be hot...I got a hot one 🥵
@@intristang was everyone else’s okay? I am sure you eat the hottest.
@@TamaraSoemali I think everyone else was fine. Maybe I just got a hot one
Los platos se ven mu rallados u se ven sucios eso afecta la presentacion de la comida eso los tienen que lavar bien
O ponerlos en cloro toda la noche!
Lol, fair point
I really dislike campari. Please don’t @ me.
Lol, I know, I know
Yuck, is that all they have is seafood??? I don't eat seafood, wheres the meats??
My friend just went last week, and the menu is still _very_ seafood focussed. If you're more into meat, I'd probably recommend Maximo
