Marco Laba's AMC 390 high performance build, soon to have a crossram daul carb intake

Here is another kickass AMC 390 engine build from my AZ AMC Restorations shop. This one has all the high performance goodies with a balanced and blueprinted forged rotating assembly that includes K1 forged rods, Wiseco forged pistons, custom Herbert roller cam with Johnson roller lifters, MSD distributor, Scorpion roller rockers, Edelbrock Aluminum heads and now that it is broken in, will soon have a reproduction crossram intake base with the factory original top intake cover with the AMC part number on it. We like to use the Holley 390 CFM carb with vacuum secondaries to make the normally persnickity crossram intake very street friendly which makes them run great. All in all this combination makes over 500 dyno tested (a real dyno not a computer program) naturally aspirated horsepower which is going to be a heck of a lot of fun in a 3200 lb car with a factory 4 spd transmission. We always break in our engines with stock manifolds and a quiet muffler so we can hear the sounds the engine is making during breakin and so the headers do not get damaged. Only newbies who do not know what they are doing break in engines with deafening open headers.
