Yes I remember this too! My teacher used to play for us every week! We all loved it and memorized the rap lol! I'm a junior now as well and I still love this a lot lol!
graduating this year and is still listening to this XD yea, middle school is like hell, you can probably ease your way through grade 8,9, but when you reach grade 10, everything you do counts, you have to prepare for university and in university, its even worse
If you sing it, you'll be giving out answers. In my book, that's considered cheating. And in my school if you get caught cheating, you are expelled instantly. I'm not sure how it is in America, though.Kristina Falster
OKAY HOLD UP! I know it's socially unacceptable to comment on the same video twice in the same year, but I just have to say this. Okay, I had a science quiz on the parts of a plant and animal cell, and I had everything down. At one point in the quiz, you're supposed to match the word with the definition, and I completely nailed that. Except for this one part. I had two words, chloroplast and cytoplasm, and I had forgotten which one was in the plant cell. I sat there for what felt like hours, staring at my blank paper with the most frustrated face you can imagine. _Which one is in the plant cell?!?!_ I eventually just put down that _cytoplasm_ was part of the plant cell. Okay, fast forward a few minutes and I'm almost done. I feel more or less confident in my answers, but I'm still a bit uncertain in the previous question that I had mentioned. Then it hits me. I just look up to the girl who was right in front of me with this maniac-like grin on my face, and in my eyes, you could just see the gears turning. I whispered quietly to myself: "Cells, cells, they're made of organelles. Try to pull a fast one, _THE CYTOPLASM GELS_!" I had to physically restrain myself from yelling out the last part. I look at the definitions, and sure enough, in the definition that I had previously thought was defining chloroplast, I see the words _A gel-like substance..._ That's all I needed to see. I quickly erased my former answer with the correct one, and just to double-check, I looked at the other definition. Sure enough, I was correct. When I stood up to hand in my paper to my teacher, she must've thought that I was insane because I was practically beaming while muttering the words that have helped me pass this test with flying colours and have been engraved in my head ever since that same Science teacher showed them to me. _Cells, cells, they're made of organelles. Try to pull a fast one, the cytoplasm gells. The nucleus takes over, controlling everything. The party don't stop 'till the Membrane blocks the scene. Inside the Vacuole we can float around for hours. Runnin' 'round with Chloroplast, lovin' sunlight showers. Cells, cells, they're made of organelles._ I have no life. :D
This song continues and will continue to haunt my nightmares for several decades, possibly till the day I die and beyond. Never have I found something that could induce a sense of absolute fear like this single video has achieved. Every time I come into the biology classroom a skin-crawling feeling suddenly meets me as the words, "CELLS CELLS, THEY'RE MADE OF ORGANELLES" echo from the deepest, darkest depths of my mind. At this point, I'm not sure if I will ever rest easy at night with this rap bellowing from inside my own head.
BRO I KNOW THIS COMMENT IS FROM A YEAR AGO BUT SAME BUT INSTEAD MINE WANTS US TO HAVE A RAP BATTLE AGAINST THE 8TH AND 6TH GRADERS ALSO IF WE DONT SING IT AE GONNA GET A 0

First things first, there's two different types
animal and plant cells that make up all life.
The little things that make up microscopic cells,
The main structures-

Now let's break it down

How do cells work? It's a crazy combination!

Who can cross over?

The gooey stuff inside
is called the cytoplasm
It holds the organelles
don't worry, plasm-has 'em!
In the middle of the cell
you'll find the big brain
The nucleus surrounded
by nuclear membrane
Don't forget the vacuole filled up with water
It's a basic need for life when

Breaking down the food and releasin' energy.
There's a place inside the cell where
chemicals are stored,
The squiggly golgi bodies, relesin' even more.
Yo hangin' in the cell is endoplasmic reticulum
synthosizin' enzymes for respiration, and um...
If you still think this rap is whack,

my 6th grade teacher beat this into me until im a sleeper agent with the trigger word of cells
Oh my gosh my friends won’t stop singing this song it drives me crazy
Not even gonna lie this an actual BOP. These BARS let me pass 6th grade science all those years ago. Thank you Organelles.
When your 7th grade teacher showed this for the 100th time and it's stuck hello to my I.S51 people
5th grade my class even sings this song when it not on 😂 my class has listed to this at least 1,000,000 times. Good grif
my science teacher played this and it is actully pretty cool it sounds so good
the fact that everyone still thinks back to this and even memorize it shows how effective it was in our 6th grade lessons lmaoooooo
Same here
This is so good that all my cell spontaneously combusted
lol
My teacher said if we memorize this song we can have a popcorn party so i have been studying this like a crazy person
