I'm sticking with the negotiator.
Currently, I've got GK, JKA, and Ahsoka borderline g13 with the Clones on their way up.
Even at 5 stars, I'm holding in the fleet around below rank 20.
And with the negotiator being needed for the new event, it just makes sense.
Micah just so you know, reading your comment made me so happy as Im 100/145 for the negociator my GK is lvl5 relic and my Republic ships are all on point

From the offensive point your guildmate is wrong.
I never reget going for Malev. The ship is a blast and i constantly win against every Nego-Fleet. Even at 5 Stars. My starting lineup is Vulture 6*, Hyena 5* and SF 7* R4.
First reinforcement is Spy 7*R4 and after that the battle is mostly over.
And Taunts are never a problem bcs Hyena can bypass them calling Vultures to assist if the target is buzzed.
@@Sedriss78 while I do love the Malevolence and my Separatist faction considering almost all of them are g13 with a r7 GG. I'm going negotiator first cause I was already closer to finishing it and I rather have 1 at 7* than 2 at 5*
I'm still getting #1 pretty often with Ackbar, and want to hold out for Malevolence... But I'm noticing I'm going to have a good Negotiator lineup way before I have a good Malevolence lineup...
Just wait until they release the tri-fighter, magnaguard starfighter, or hell even soulless I. Then the malevolence will be popping.

I dont see why you would ever pick GGs ship over GKs ship while removing personal preference. You kinda need Gk for LSTB but you dont need GG for DSTB. Also to improve GG you will need new ships and unless you are a whale they wont be great at 3 stars for many months
Malevolence all the way. I have the same number of shards for both, and I’m gonna play the long game. And well, the droid army and General Grievous are my favourite faction
Your guildie is doing it wrong.... I have a 6* Malevolence and crush all but the hardest Nego’s. Starting with 7* Vulture, 5* Hyena, R3 Sun Fac and then Spy, HT and literally anything else (in that order) as reinforcements. Top-3 in my fleetshard every day since I got it.
Still need a First Order, Sith, and Bounty Hunter/Smuggler capital ship.
I dont even care if its meta, I just want the malevolence!!!! Half way to unlock now!

I was wondering, how is Thrawn against Malevolence? I'm near finishing Ackbar, and nowhere near Negotiator, so i'm wondering if i should shoot for Thrawn or stick with Ackbar?
Hey AhnaldT101, I have the Malevolence, 6*, with geos 7* relic, and I use a different lineup.. send me a message and I can send you some gameplay. It drops on defense, but easy to take out negotiator on offense.
How far does it drop? I can unlock either one but unsure..

Malevolence’s super move is OP
there are only vulture droids summoned if the malevolance uses a special ability or if the original vulture droid is killed, not if any vulture droid is killed
Although if the original one is killed while there are 5 ships out, it doesn't get re-summoned.
So, at the moment, only the first time the Vulture is killed it respawns. I am not sure if it’s bugged, but I usually always have 5 ships out, but if you don’t... it means that you are taking another turn right away. You basically get a reinforcement for any action that the Malevolence takes.

Bad playing. I got my 5*, with Hyena and Vulture 5*, and I obliterate any negociator. Always getting top 1 arena.
i've been playing Galaxy of Heroes since the day it came out. I havent been #1 in my arena since Dooku & Phasma leads were meta. I've found enjoyment in the game because i farm and upgrade the characters i want to, not necessarily the meta toons. When Grievous was first released through the shard shop i only had a 7* Luminara, Sidious, Kylo & Boba. instead of furthering my roster i continued to farm these characters just so i could unlock Grievous quicker. I ran the HK lead team with Jawa engineer, IG-88, Grievous, and B2 for over a year because it was a fun team. I'll be farming Malevolence because it's my favorite character's ship. I tried whaling to keep up with the crowds but someone will always have more money than me and i dont wanna get discouraged not being able to keep up. Farm whoever you'll have the most fun with in game, fellow holotable heroes! It's a good game if you dont let the cash grab get to you. stay strong, and may the force be with you!
F2P over here going for the malevolence. My Seps are my best ones... just started on my GR ships.

...in the future, FO will take over (u can expect juicy Legendary event for FO capital, since NEgo and GG ship is for free so to speak), PPL will spend all resources on NEGO and GG ship, giving CG great opportunity to bring out new P2W Meta capital ship and sell new packs ;)

You do NOT need IG-2000 in the starting slot. Hyena, Vulture, and Sun Fac work just fine. The Geo's work fine when they're R7.
Your guild mate isn’t going in with the best starting fleet imo. Starting with HT SF and Hyena makes the fleet very durable and you can basically just take other fleets apart with buzz droids. IG Vulture and geo spy as reinforce

somewhatdamaged1 I start with Hyena, Vulture and Sun Fac, and trash everyone. But I do have both Vulture and Hyena at 7*. You just make sure you put buzz droids on Anakin. Once Anakin is dead the rest of the GR ships just fall one by one.
In my server I am the only one using the Malevolence. It’s 6star currently, using only 4 star Hyena and Vulture. And I get rank1! Can take down the Negotiators and Home ones in my server even with 7star Anakins ship and Millenium Falcons
Your guildy needs to not suck. Malevolence owns everything on offense. 5 star hyena, 6 star vulture, r4 ht, 7 star geos, 350k total power and I own 6 star 470k negotiator fleets. 5 star malevolence, let them come at level 7, everything else level 2
running ig88 in your starting lineup is like running shore trooper with your imp troopers. Makes no sense to sacrifice that much offense for minimal survivability. If you can't consistently win on offense against negotiators you're doing it wrong. The geos are amazing on this squad and combined with buzz droids simply melt enemy fleets (regardless of cap ship)
I have no problem starting with the full Geo squad at the start I take out HT really fast considering Spy special ability hits for about 200k and then is all down hill from there rank 18 atm and i only have 4 star bomber and vulture
Most of this video is absolutely absurd. You need to start with geos and reinforce with vulture droid. Reinforcement inflicts blind and special inflicts buff immunity on houndstooth and stacks buzz droids. Save all assists until you reinforce game over.
None lol gotta hoard for Malak GAS and the next 4 broken characters that will have to be farmed in the guild token store. F*** ships
We are still missing the tri fighter for the separatist and even some other ships I'm not thinking about.
As much as I hate rebels getting more stuff they are missing the b-wing and a-wing. the republic is missing the v-wing. The empire is missing the interceptor, bomber, defender, and I believe their stealth ship is also cannon.
If you want us to make a good, informed decision... tell us to stop playing this horribly run game.

I just unlocked the malevolence and the negotiator may have the better fleet, it doesn’t have the bumper sticker that says my capital ship looks cooler than yours.😎
leaving the game. it went way off the rails. what is now the purpose if a new person starts? why farm jawas or imperial troopers or Phoenix or rogue one? all useless. the problem with chasing the meta is you are devaluing the rest of the game. its no longer fun. the new TB is ridiculous. no thx. it would be great if the whole community would reject the meta so they would change but wont happen. so enjoy all. i hope your not spending money on it

I'm going Negotiator, mainly because I just unlocked it, but I'm mourning my delay on unlocking Big Daddy G Spots Pleasure Barge.

bottom line, they are both good on offense and they can beat each other on defense with ease.
conclusion: which ship should you farm? - my answer is the negotiator, not only for the fleet arena, but also for your guild.
which ship is better? - malevolence, because a half assed ship fleet can easly beat a full upgraded negotator, let's wait and see when they are both at max...

This attack deals 50% more damage for each defeated enemy and ally.
If the target enemy does not have protection this attack get +50% critical damage.
(Special- Fire The Cannons Gary!!)(cooldown-3)
Deal special damage to all enemies and apply daze and expose for 2 turns, which can't be prevented or evaded.
If Stormtrooper Gary is present deal damage an additional time and apply expose for 2 turns, which can't be prevented or evaded.
(Special 2- All In The Bank Account)(cooldown-6)
Apply extortion to all enemies.
For each enemy who had already had extortion they have their cooldowns increased by 1 and all other allies have their cooldowns reduced by 1.
Dispel all Profit on allies, allies receive 1 stack of Hype for each stack of profit dispelled for 3 turns(stacking),
If no profit was dispelled enemies are stunned for 1 turn which cant be prevented or dispelled.

Whenever an enemy use extortion they are stunned for one turn which can't be prevented or dispelled.
All allies get +10 speed and +10% offense for each stack of profit on them.
Enemies who use extortion grant profit to all allies.

Apply tenacity down to enemy leader before they take damage from an attack.
Ahnaldt gains tenacity up at the start of an enemies turn. Whenever an enemy takes a turn 25% chance to gain 10% turn meter.
(Unique 2- Kyber Club Party Animal)
Whenever an enemy is defeated or when allies score two or more critical hits in one turn Ahnaldt gains 1 Hype for 3 turns (stacking).
Hype: Cant be prevented or dispelled by enemies. Gain 10% evasion, 35% counter chance,
10% defense, and 10% offense. Unit gains 10% protection up and 10% turn meter whenever they deal damage.
I’m currently running 6star Malevolence. She dishes out the dmg, that’s for sure, and most rounds I never get to fire the ion cannon. I do not run IG in my lineup (he’s weak) although I may reconsider. One thing to take note of is that at 7 star, Overcharge will help greatly as I’ll be able to dispel two ships at a time, assuming I’m targeting my Hyena.

Ig2000 is probably the worst person you could put in the starting lineup besides geo soldier.
You are the reason I still play this game. I don't spend anywhere near enough money to be viable but you have managed to keep it fun. I took a loooooong break until I stumbled on your content. Now I am playing almost every day again. Sadly I don't have Jedi Knight/Darth Revan but I got my G13 Relic 4 grievous so far and it is only up hill from here! Got my Geo's. Only reason I was able to get padme is because I listened to you and geared up my bugs when I did!
Right now I am kinda trying to rush my First Order up there a bit in preps for Episode 9. Hope it doesnt end up being a waist.
But let me tell you...Gear crunch without spending money? Is painful. I mean like a massive slog fest.
Saved my currency after i got 7*on Malak and currently 70/145 on Malevolence. When i unlock it, i will be using the Ion Canon on 1x speed every single time. A thing of beauty to behold

Went with the malevolence, I stockpiled all the currency and I'm really close to 6* (would have made 6* if we were running DS geo TB this week)
I am really enjoying using this ship. I hated fleet arena before, but this ship actually makes me look forward to it. Sure, it's not good on defense. But it is a lot of fun.
I personally use a triple tank line up, HT, 5* Hyena, and Sun fac. Then I reinforce with the other two geos and vulture droid. My plan is to drop HT for vulture droid in the near future when my vulture droid reaches 7*. So far I've had success using this line up against some weaker negotiators. Tell your guild mate to give it a shot!
Revisit this video with a strat since you love this ship so much now!

The Geonosian ships are awesome under the Malevolence, not sure why they were glossed over as not being any good. My starting lineup is Sun Fac, Spy and Vulture with Soldier, IG and Hyena on the bench and my 5 star Malevolence has no trouble with Rebels or 6 star Negotiators.
My plan is, since I already have the Negotiator, to unlock the Malevolence (especially since I don't have Han's Falcon yet). Once I unlock the Malevolence, then I'll judge whether it's better to go for 7 star Negotiator or 7 star Malevolence.
I suspect CG will eventually add the Malevolence as a required unit for the DS Geo TB Fleet CMs. I'm personally going to chase Negotiator just because my grievous is not yet geared up
I’ve got a 6* Mallevolence, I start with all bug line up, then bring in HT & droid ships. My ship game has never been strong, but gone from 350 to around 75. Still some work to do, but enjoying ships again for the first time in a long time!
Hey, try this starting lineup, sun/hyena/spy. It’s an excellent starting line up because they will hit spy first and put him under stealth, which means they can only target the 2 tanks. Spy does insane damage and I’ve been able to get anakin to proc the savior ability turn 1 because spy is hitting for 100k and critting for much more. Anakin always target sun fac with his aoe so you’ll need to use malv cleanse on him to allow him to keep taunting. Usually this also allows sun fac to go before HT so you can stun the bastard before it can taunt giving you extra time to take down the other ships. Vulture droid being your first reinforcement lands a blind on the enemy team which 99% of the time lines up with anakin wasting his aoe. Also his discord missle is perfect for killing Ht. I only lost 1 battle ever so far with this line up

Such a tough decision. Like my GK, Anakin and Asohka are well geared. Will have to work on Clones for GAS. My Geos need love but when will I have the time? I gotta whale harder.
Any input on throwing Eta into a separatist lineup? He would probably be kind of squishy but would take tons of bonus turns when vultures die off. It would probably depend on how smart the AI is and if they target him first.

Malevolence is so good in offense.
I play triple tank, then vulture droide and Geos. The only ships i have 7* are Geos. ALL the others are 5* or less. Climbing to the top is so easy

I am able to get up to 5th place on my shard with ackbar, geos starting lineup calling the droid ships after....they destroy bosk food for thought.
I think the malevolence should also acquire a B1 battle droid to operate since they were the ones that were piloting it for most of the time. Maybe the malevolence should be piloted by the B1 so grievous can pilot his own ship from the clone wars
Negotiator. By the time I have the characters for GAS, I should be able to use negotiator on the fleet fight instead of endurance.
Have my Malevolence at 6 stars now and not sure it is all that great. To be fair I am not a whale and the newest droid ships are not in my fleet yet, but I have a Relic 7 GG so it felt like a good investment.

Vulture driod is a great reinforcement and is currently broken. Should inflict blind on all enemys for two turns but only blinds them for one atm.
I think that to win this battle, like with GG nuke team, you need to combine good toons with leader(capital ship)

Those who are boted will go for GG ship. I will start farming GK simple because it has more potential at the moment.
I LOVE this fleet. I have a garbage shard so no one touches me aside from the top 5 negotiator and I can beat all 5 negotiators with no problem at all. Love it
