    Details on the hit by Burfict, one of the dirtiest players ever. Bengals fifth year in a row in wild card, lost the previous four. Andy Dalton out, AJ McCarron Bengals QB, led 16 pt comeback after trailing 15-0 after 3 quarters. Steelers 1st and 10 at Bengals 47, 22 seconds left, no timeouts. Even watching in real time I could see Burfict loading up to take a shot at Brown's head although the pass was uncatchable. I remember thinking "he doesn't care who wins as long as he can injure somebody."

    • @russs7574
      @russs7574 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      The things is that even with the Burfict penalty, Chris Boswell was looking at a field goal of 50 or 51 yards....within his range, but hardly a gimme. But then Pacman Jones lost his mind too. I think I recall he made contact with one of the officials (although Steelers coach Joey Porter came onto the field and baited Jones into that penalty...Porter should have gotten flagged, too, and this is a Steelers fan here). That turned it into a very makeable 35 yarder for Boswell.

    • @russs7574
      @russs7574 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I might also add that Burfict was a very fortunate man in that by the time of this incident, Hines Ward was out of football. Had Ward still been playing, he absolutely would have laid Burfict out (ala Juju Smith-Schuster) in their first meeting the next season.

      Even after Burfict's penalty, that was still a decent length FG. But then Pacman lost it too, and turned it into a shortie. Even as a Steelers fan, I have to admit that they should have gotten a flag as well because Coach Joey Porter came off the bench and baited Pacman into his penalty.

    I'd say if not one of the dumbest penalties, certainly the costliest penalty in NFL history was at the end of the AFC Championship game between KC & NE where the Chiefs intercepted a pass to win the game to go to the SB except one safety lined up in the neutral zone. What was super bonehead about it was that he wasn't even rushing, he was covering on the play and didn't even need to be up at the line of scrimmage at all, what's even more ironic is that the other Conference Championship had a super bonehead no call on the most obvious PI in NFL history. This should have been the SB between the 2 teams that lost the Championship games, Saints vs Chiefs.

Just stupid and childish. Also, just something that blows my mind. They mention Morten Anderson being the oldest player in the NFL at the time, chew on this. He began his career in 1982.
