As a card maker I ❤️ 😍 ❤gilding polish they have such beautiful shimmer. Perfect Pearl's by Ranger are get they come in many colors you can use it dry or in a spray bottle and spritz it.
I try them all and choose based on the spectrum I’m working with at the time. Not ashamed to admit I use craft paints as well as artist quality, knowing that if my results are less than desirable I can add another layer or a new stencil over it!
I’ve found that craft paints are good for when you want to clean your gel plate of leftover bits of paint. They have a lot less pigment than artist paints, so they lay down in a very thin layer, perfect for pulling up old paint. Also, because they’re thin, they make good color glazes on top of other colors.
May great joy, creativity, peace, health and prosperity be returned to you 10-fold for all you give to us. Great demo. Find when I run out of a paint, I had hope I had then some other color just jumps right in, yes? Personal favorites: DecoArt Americana Decor Metallic 24K Gold and DecoArt Americana Decor Texture Metallic Champagne. Dazzle baby!
I'm happy to view this. I have my faves, but tend to use the pale golds, lighter bronzes and rich coppers. Golden has an iridescent fine silver too that im in love with.
Just love watching how much fun you have. I am a compulsive obsessive art supply addict and I feel so much better knowing that you have a closet full of stuff that you sometimes forget about having bought. I feel so much less guilty!! I love shopping in my closet for forgotten supplies and then using them in alternative ways. Currently am obsessed with gelli prints and mixed media and enjoy your projects. Thanks
Gold is always my first go to. But I do like copper ad bronze as well. Silver not so much but sometimes. I especially like Jo Sonja pale gold. These prints are wonderful . Cheers.
Invaluable video, Froyle! So kudos to you from a metallic paints lover 💖! I usually gravitate towards bronze and copper like you and love the Liqitex Basics so much. Some golden acrylic paints, though, look disappointingly cheap and yellowish. I always refine those with a dash of bronze. Looks fabulous then! Aloha from Berlin ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Great video love xx Liquitex for me as Golden is also SUPER EXPENSIVE here in The Netherlands. Seth and Izinks...of course we need to have them all. I also love Winsor & Newton (also affordable here). Thank you for showing us xxx
I did not know that if you sprayed the Golden iridescent bronze with water you would get a patina! Could you demo that sometime? That is awesome! Loved this video-I learned a lot!
I love you exploring the metallic. I dived into my paint drawer and found I had a pouch of gold I haven't used yet. It's called abstract innovative acrylic. Iridescent Gold. I'm off to my studio to try my metallic paints. Thanks for the inspiration. Your Sundays always encourages me to launch into the new week.
I'm so glad you showed us this because I saw Mariah was using what looked like a metallic brown. I thought...ooohhhh metallic brown! Lol, it would have taken me a while to find one. The liquitex bronze looks great as a brown. Have you tried the Mont Marte paints? I have found their signature paints great on the gel plate, but haven't explored the metallics properly yet. If memory serves me correct they are more transparent
Love all the different trials of paints though I don’t have any of those brands. I usually use DecoArt or Plaid Folk Art paints because that’s what I have. They work well and I have tons of them. I never really used the bronze or copper, gold has been my favorite but since you like them so much I gave them a try and found I really like them. I really like the copper and red together which surprised me, I never would have thought it. Anyway, gold is still my favorite followed by bronze and copper and like you, I don’t have a lot of use for silver. Thanks for the tests they were fun!
I love metallic paints this video is very informative I’ve been binge watching your videos. Have you used mica pigment to make paint then used it can it be done ?
Reduce mice spray nozzle clogging by spritzing water at the orifice immediately after use and wiping it off with a cloth or paper towel (or do you say kitchen roll?). A few seconds can save a lot of aggravation. (You asked.)
I have all of the metallics! I cannot resist the shiny!
I love the shiny!! 😂

Yeah baby!! So good!! Happy creating! Cheers
I’m the same way-use whatever you want!
Some craft paints do seem to have good pigments and coverage. I agree.

Froyle, thanks for demonstrating the different brands of paint. Do the Liquitex soft bodied paints tend to clog in the long tips.
I usually run out before that happens! 😂 cheers!
Of course! I should have known@@FroyleArt
I love them all but some are very too expensive for me so I have to make choice but… it's OK.
Anyway… Happy New Year to you and your followers
Happy New Year to you!! Cheers Froyle
I love metallic paints this video is very informative I’ve been binge watching your videos. Have you used mica pigment to make paint then used it can it be done ?
Yes you can mix it with different acrylic mediums for different results 👍🏼 cheers
