Thank You car dood , good to see a young person learn the craft of car mechanics , we need young professionals in this field. And a most definite thumbs up on saving a bunch of cash. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
I changed my pads with. Bendix 4x4 heavy duty and rotors DBA. Works very very well in. Wet weather. I used it in my 4WD. I will use them too with my wife's highlander. More expensive but performs better than Bosch. There are Bosch rotors but I prefer DBA. ( Expensive) but last longer performs better.
Hey at minute 6:15 When you move the caliper over... Mine is seized I guess? I can not shift it in or out, it swivels just fine, is there anything that would prevent the caliper from moving in and out to adjust the alignment of the caliper to the brake pads?
Great videos. Question.... the parking brake on my 2005 V6 doesn't engage all the way as it won't hold on a hill in N. I saw one TH-cam video that said to adjust the nut on the cable controlling the brake but a former master tech at a Toyota dealership I frequent said to never touch that adjusting nut, but rather adjust the "stars" on both rear brakes. Do you have a video to about that or can you elaborate about the process? I did note you said here is a rubber plug to access the parking brake adjustment in your video. Is this where the star adjustments are?

Much appreciated! Thanks so much for watching!
I just paid $240 for the rear pads and rotors alone. Has inflation really racked it up that high in 2 years?? 😂

Thank you for the cost comparison. Now I remember why I lay out in the hot sun on my driveway and do my own brakes.
It is totally worth it! Thanks for watching!
