Just picked this up for my 1yr for $49 + $15 blue silicone kids case incase he drops it. And he loves it! I downloaded all his favorite Netflix shows offline and he gets to watch them when we’re not at home. Great first tablet!
I just picked one up yesterday from Walmart. So far, so good. Pretty snappy little basic tab for $99. Better than any fire tablet I’ve used. It even updated to the latest Android 10 firmware and it has the March security update installed so there is some hope for future updates.

Bought one of these Onn 8 inch tablets for my wife last summer so she could listen to music and do quick web searches. Her 8 inch Amazon fire tablet had developed a line on the screen and the battery wouldn't hold more than a 30 minute charge do to a software glitch that happened while the firmware was updating. She hasn't had any issues with the Onn tablet except for one time when the Pi music player app froze up on her while listening to music due to a corrupted mp3 file that was accidentally loaded onto the tablet.
I've saw them go for 28$ at some walmarts as we get closer to black friday.
Does this tablet offer/have GPS??

Can u set the SD card as internal storage on this? I've had the Galaxy tab a 8 inch which you couldn't an got the lenovo m8 that you can today but its too laggy this one has two processors though
Edit: you can but this one is extremely laggy and has horrible screen bleed got the Lenovo tab m10 fhd plus for 150 4gbs ram 64 internal storage a lot better

Watching this ON my ONN 8' Pro
Bought one yesterday for about $70. It works perfectly for my purposes. I'm 24 years old for reference and I plan to use the tablet for self care, calender/scheduling, and my personal journals/notes, light games and apps such as pinterest.
Don't expect super HD quality from playing TH-cam videos but its not awful quality. I'm used to my Samsung galaxy 10 phone so at first I was like Holy moly, but after watching a few videos I quickly became used to the sound and video quality.
There's a Walmart button at the bottom of the screen but its so tiny and barely noticeable so its not really an issue unless you purposely stare at it 24/7.
If anyone has any questions on my personal experience with the tablet feel free to ask me by replying to this comment!

@@splendid_amateur Yes! It works perfectly fine. Since buying the tablet I added a bunch of kids apps such as youtube kids and young kids games for the families I babysit. Those apps work fine and don't lag. If you're expecting the HD quality of the newest ipad then you'll be dissapointed. For example, the sound quality is slightly muffled but I personally don't mind it since the only sound I need it for is an occasional youtube video when I'm laying in bed. It's been a few months of on/off usage with this tablet and honestly for $70 it's completely worth it.

It definitely stutters in the basic navigation... Designwise it is way better than the Amazon though, reminds me the Lenovo FHD 8. Well, it's kinda hard to find it here in Europe anyway. I will stick with Amazon, I am truly impressed with the new HD8 and with their optimization, it will be smooth for sure.
Thinking of getting one just to read, write my stories, doodle on and do my school work so I don't have to use phones battery up.😅😁

I have two Onn Roku tvs and a Onn soundbar in my house. It's a decent brand that could use some improvement over time. I'm not sure if I would buy the tablet though.
yeah the TVs are pretty nice in my opinion, better quality than you would think
@@FishBeeProductions My neice got her 32 inch Onn Roku tv in 2019. It's still working fine. That is why I decided to get mine. I only spent about $220 on my two ONN TV's and soundbar. They are priced great. Especially These days were everything is expensive.

I might lean slightly towards the Onn pro because of Google play even though performance is not great on either. Amazon is going to release new versions of the 8 in June or July so I'll definitely have to compare to those.

I got 15 hours on battery!! On battery saver and low brightness! I was using it, not letting it sit!
Again, with low brightness and battery saver on, close to 16 hours of usage! This is the first time I've ever had a tablet where the battery life supercedes the specs!!!
However, the volume does not get very loud even with volume boost on.

Para los que busquen reseñas en español, es una buena tablet, la compré acá en Venezuela por $65. Claro, para cosas potente, hay que dar más dinero, pero para cosas básicas va bien. Está bien para ser un equipo de gama media. Ahora si sos alguien exigente que quieras jugar pesados, hacer cosas que consuman más de 2gb de ram, pues, deben comprar la Onn de 10 pulgadas u otro equipo que cumpla con las exigencias requeridas, pero es una tablet para niños y en general, si eres una persona sencillita que no puede costearse cosas caras, lo malo es que no puedes ponerle sim card de líneas teléfonicas, pero bueno. En Venezuela nadie a la calle con una tablet xd

@@FishBeeProductions i had or am having problems with mine the touchscreen. it is highly unresponsive n anoying u hav to tap on it so many times. i couldnt get past the start/language screen part til today. i jus started mesin aroun wit it not really sure wat or how i did it but i got to the part wer i can chage the display size of the letterings n watnot. i can finaly use the dam thing. lol not really tho this thing is obviously defective. the only thing good about this is the screen it has really good picture quality
