- This video is about lawn equipment for a new homeowner. I purchased this equipment for my son who just recently purchased his first home. So being a lawn care nut I figured i had to buy him his first set of lawn equipment to get him started. all of the equipment in the video was purchased by me with my money and was not given to me by any manufacture. I purchased for him what I think is the perfect lawn equipment to start out with. I basically purchased the same equipment that I have used over the years and have found it to work well. The lawn Mower is a Honda HRX217 I have used the same mower since 2007 and think it is a great mower for any homeowner. It is a little pricey but like anything you get what you pay for. A lawn mower is something that should last for years if taken care of. I am of the mindset that a good tool is worth the little extra money if it is something that will get used often and will make the job at hand easier and more enjoyable to do. #lawnequipment #lawnmower #newhomeowner #aroundthehousewithpat

at 11:16 if you listen closely you can hear a 1999 honda civic getting up to the speed limit of 35mph
LOL. I’ll have to find that guy. Speed limit on my street is 20mph. He was breaking the law at 35mph

I have a question for your 2007 HRX217. I have the same one and recently started having a hard time getting it started. Once warmed up it starts fine. I bought a thermo wax auto choke and noticed my HRX327 has a completely different auto choke. Do you know of any other thing that could cause the hard to start when cold? I love the mower and kept up to all the maintenance through the years of owning it.
Hey SuperTA, a few years ago I picked up a Billy Goat Leaf Vac from a guy in AC for a few hundred dollars. New the machine was a couple thousand. It has the same Honda engine as is on my old Honda mower. It had an issue with starting cold. I bought it anyway and tinkered with it. I ended up just purchasing a brand new carb and replaced it. Not a hard job at all. The thing starts on the first pull now every time. You might just try replacing the carb.
