As a fellow senior leader in tech, I appreciate your candor Josh! You're just an awesome person! Keep up the good work creating great content for us to watch.
Your content is great because it shows you’re very genuine, kind hearted, you’re authentic , speak from the hearted, point out truths about cars and build quality. Keep up the good work and stay like the beautiful soul that you are. ❤
Hello Josh, I enjoyed hearing your story and your detailed commentary. Excellent work, some of the haters which I’m sure are few and far between don’t reflect that this free to us all and we appreciate your hard work. I have a question, do you have a suggestion maybe for another video potentially. Is there an suv, luxury, with some off-road capabilities, looks good, with a decent Powertrain and a non turbo v6 that is not full of cheap materials? I am looking for something new, don’t want to adopt someone else’s problem. Maybe the epa has made this a hard feat. I just notice that the new 4’s don’t get really any better gas mileage and I would rather not replace a battery of any kind in the near future. This might be a lot of our Delma. In which case I will keep driving my older car and keep wishing. Thank you!
Awesome vid Josh. Great to know more about you and John. I died laughing on the chapter about annoying things other TH-camrs do! 🤣 Panhandling! You are so right. Congratulations to the channel.
Thanks Josh for an informative & entertaining video and congrats on exceeding 10K. Only additional topic I'd have liked to have seen is recommendation on whether to go hybrid or gas. Cheers.
Hi Josh, thank you for another nice video. great knowing more about you. so much to learn about choosing cars and dealing with dealerships. you are right about they are not your friends and dont be afraid to say “no”. we are currently looking for our next car as our last one was a lemon.
I just bought a Toyota LandCruiser FJ60. I’m glad it fit in my garage. I had been looking for a while and it just popped up the other day. I’m loving it. I’m not going to document my ownership on social media🙈
"make a gasoline that does not pollute" Not sure if you're referring to e-fuels. Like Hydrogen, currently it is expensive/inefficient to produce and needs electricity (power to liquid process). However e-fuels do still have emissions, but they're net-zero emission because they draw CO2 from the air as part of its manufacturing process. It just spits it back out once you burn it. The biggest problem in the future will be technologies competing for electricity, between requirements needed for AI and requirements needed to generating renewable fuels (such as hydrogen and e-fuels). I have a feeling battery electric vehicles are the way of the future as it gets rid of the whole conversion process in-between for fuels.....unless someone somehow unlocks the power of nuclear fusion.
One of the best EV car out there and folks tend to skip is the Nissan Leaf and Bolt , cause one thing for sure, Ill not support Tesla dude getting richer and richer
A lot of great great nuggets in this video. I despise the dealership experience, to the point that I won’t buy a new car because of it. I can’t stand snake oil salesman lying to your face knowing your going to forking over thousands of dollars
Maybe when you retire you can do full YT reviewer...for the gas money and for that sugar watery drink that Starbucks sells. Well no value...we as viewers disagree ...11k strong and growing. Im not subbed to many car reviewers cause some of them annoy the ish out of me. Savagegeese/The Thoper/Topher drives/TCCN and You were the last that I subbed because I was watching The topher and I saw your name in the comment section(before you update to the new name), I clicked in your profile when you were just a couple hundreds subs and sub right away because you a Toyota/Lexus type of person. Nigella .... the famous micro waver phrase ,her ex husband did her wrong(trifling mf).
How about 50%+ depreciation in over a year on every EV? Meaning the only good option is to lease, but in leasing you’re left with no equity and no car at the end of your lease term. Meanwhile, after a year and 10K miles, our Camry is worth what we paid for it and our RAV4 Prime is 3 years old with 22K on it and has only lost about $3-5K in value. So yes, we may spend a bit more to maintain, but net net we’ve lost way less than we would have on an EV. Also, in market terms, when you say “cost of ownership” that includes depreciation. So say you buy an Ioniq5. It’s going to lose 30-50% of its value in a year. If you buy the car at $50K and it’s only worth $30K a year later, your total cost of ownership for that year is $20K. We definitely do not spend $20K a year to own our ICE vehicles. I have nothing against EVs but like any new technology the innovation curve on them is so steep right now and because I prioritize having cash in the bank and assets that I can get most of my money out of if I need to sell them, EVs just aren’t for people like me at the present moment in time.

wish josh would talk about hyundai & EV's more. planning on buying a hyundai ioniq 5 soon
You clearly didn’t watch the video I discussed why I wouldn’t buy a Hyundai. Good luck with the Ioniq5 but lease it. And enjoy the insurance cost.

thank you for sharing! Question : how do you seemly flip cars so often without losing your shirt at the dealer? you must be a negotiation guru haha.

dont buy an EV?? have you ever looked at the cost of ownership of an EV vs ICE? it already makes too much sense on paper to go EV
