Hard to believe its about ten years since this game came out. Hope Insomniac continues the series and gets back to this kind of quality, because the remake wasn't... quite it. It was fun, and sure beat the spin-off junk, but some corners were cut and it wasn't quite this kind of committed passion. The radio stations, pacing, story, and all the right staples of the series while leaving aside some of the lesser ones, it was all so good. One of those games where you could stop on a small part of it, like one of the mini planets, and just take in all the effort behind it and be grateful we got something this cool in an increasingly cynical era of gaming. The fact the fanbase has even gotten to this level of just uploading and categorizing the radio stations for playlists - and this was all side content from the game - is just telling of it.
Also, it had that sort of free roam ability. I mean, when you are able to visit some of the moons and play through those, that was so fun. And you took your time with them, which was the best part of the game.
