Yeah I love the 8th gen civic si I own. Same color as the Mugen and a sedan. its a really nice car inside and out. Though driving it in Iowa is a hassle sometimes due to the shitty roads and snow.
+Seth Porter back in school (around 2008-09) all young kids and probably 20 year olds loved this car, lol. I wasnt exactly a huge fan of it (still not today). I was more into american muscle and german cars.
I'm tempted to say "oldschool Saabkyle04": older, not quite as fancy and luxurious cars as we have become used to in recent years. Not a fan of the car but good work Kyle as usual.
You should be a fan, it's an excellent car designed as a whole that is greater than the sum-of-parts. For example, Honda fit the necessary LSD to maximise front wheel traction, unlike others who cut corners (VW, Ford). The K20 engine is an extremely well engineered engine too, with features like under piston skirt oil squirters, extremely high flowing head and very rigid engine block. Besides "slow car" fast is fun. :)
The tires are what made this car (the Mugen). I traded in my 07 Si sedan for my Mugen when it was new (how has it been 8 years!?!) and the difference was so noticeable. Sadly, this generation was the last great Honda product before the new business strategy era of cost cutting and BS cars. The K20 in this was fantastic and it's too bad Honda has designed shitty cars for the past 7 years now.
Honda used to be tops, sad to see them fall so far. Glad to see others notice it too. Today I saw new hondas being made in Mexico..... They can kiss reliability out the window.
The 2006 and 07 SI’s K20 is hands down my favorite N/A mass produced engine Hands has made. My 07 has 158k and still runs like a top and is a blast to drive.
+Alanex Knight They're great cars and alot of fun to drive, but if your idea of the best car in the world is a 200 hp fwd sedan i can only assume you havent been around many cars.
Idk why people hate on this mugen si it looks so good , but bet you if it had a Mitsubishi or subaru logo instead of a Honda everyone would have been drooling over it !
I just recently picked up an 2007 8th gen si, its a great car! The only issues you have to really be worried about are the 3rd gear popout in 2006-2008 cars and the clutch master cylinder has to be replaced some times. I do wish I had the mugen kit, even though its boy racer it does look nicer than stock to me. There is also a rev hang where the revs don't drop after you push the clutch in, but getting a hondata flashpro will fix that and make it a lot more drivable than stock.
I'm a subscriber for ages and I feel so happy to be with since the beginning. I appreciate what you're doing Kyle, and love your job. this might sound weird, but I really miss the old Kyle. I know that you've improved, your knowledge expended and this became more serious than it actually was. I mean now it's your way of living. when I remember the videos of the old GMs and others, man that was a while ago. You used to talk about very few things, but I used to enjoy every second of the video. please do not take it as I mean it became less enjoyable than it was . the thing is that I wanted to tell you keep it up and God bless you. Best of wishes from Saudi Arabia.
I really enjoyed this video, it was extremely well done so great job Kyle! This one was special enough for me to comment because I own a 07 Fiji blue Si sedan! They are great cars and it's true they are definitely for the younger crowd! I learned some stuff on this video about my car I didn't even know about. Thanks again Kyle!
Ha! I bought one of these new back in 2008. This is a coincidence. It was the only one at the dealer. I remember the day I first saw it. It was sitting outside head to head with an S2000 CR edition. I later sold it but it was a fun little toy.
I have an 09 civic right now and I'm looking to trade it in. Do you guys think I should go with a 2010 Nissan altima 2.5 s, 2010 ford fusion se, or an 07 infiniti m35?
Honestly, this Civic isn't bad, until ppl start making it too low and can't go over speed bumps. #speedbumps #ihatespeedbumps #notunlessmycarishighenoughtogooverone
Excelent! A very complete review! Thanks for sharing this. I gotta love this civic i wish I could get one here in chile. Btw could you please do some reviews of Subarus like the newer sti :) Bst regards
Nice to be back to basics for a video! I'm ashamed to say I kinda want one of these. As a BMW enthusiast and Volvo owner, I think that breaks some kind of code...
Yo Kyle, hello again! As usual, another great video, and I was thinking about your Europe trip and the videos you filmed which I absolutely loved a lot. Is there any plans of you going to any country in Asia someday? I'd especially recommend China where you can possibly film knock off cars, it would be quite a pleasure. Thanks, take care.
+Gary Kwan I never said Millgen haha. I pronounced it MEWgen. I thought I might not be spot on, but pretty close haha. Hard to know for certain sometimes.
Ah I wanted a Civic SI sedan from this generation but ended up not getting one. I hope Honda makes the current or next gen Civic SI (or perhaps Type-R if they decide to bring it to the USA) more competitive with other makers as far as power goes. I'd love to see a Civic SI/Type-R in the USA with 300 HP from the factory.
Holy cow I live right by the crawdads Stadium! I just picked this random review and heard Cosmo motors! They got some bad ass cars there! Do you live in NC?
Well the 11th gen is here. I personally think 8th gen civic is the overall best civic among all 11 generation, from base model to the top one. Ps. 9th gen si owner
Best generation of the Civic
Eh they're good but em1s are my favorite
Agreed!
AT or EF
Em1 is the father of all Civics.
After these hatchbacks. RIP Civics Even Silverado Ended RIP SILVERADO & CIVICS
As an 8th gen Si owner this makes me really happy :)
Yeah I love the 8th gen civic si I own. Same color as the Mugen and a sedan. its a really nice car inside and out. Though driving it in Iowa is a hassle sometimes due to the shitty roads and snow.
@@19MusicMaster93 I daily drive mine 80 mile round trips every day here in Oregon and I know what you mean.
This is the car that kids like!
Dan Arnotts has a Honda toooo
+Seth Porter
-RegularCarReviews
I'm one of you guys now, I got the stick shift!
+Seth Porter back in school (around 2008-09) all young kids and probably 20 year olds loved this car, lol. I wasnt exactly a huge fan of it (still not today). I was more into american muscle and german cars.
This is the engine kids like!
These cars never get old
Must have been very futuristic looking back then because they still look very dope till date .
Those mk8 Civic still has incredible modern and actual looking after ten years. Only 10th model can beat it.
I'm tempted to say "oldschool Saabkyle04": older, not quite as fancy and luxurious cars as we have become used to in recent years. Not a fan of the car but good work Kyle as usual.

Im supposed to be picking up a 8th si coupe later this years after getting some things squared away
Honda used to be tops, sad to see them fall so far. Glad to see others notice it too. Today I saw new hondas being made in Mexico..... They can kiss reliability out the window.
What's so bad about a car being made in mexico?
+ARMANDO GERMAN Physical and cultural distance from the country of proposition. It leads to noticeable differences in supply chain, QC, etc...
Wrong, wrong, wrong.......
VTEC kicked in yo
😂😂😂😂😂
+Mel Laknanurak dohc vtec
+Mel Laknanurak BWAAAAHHHHH while the grandma in a Buick pulls away without trying.
+kirbyswarp That wasn't the point of the Mugen. It was a gripping machine and a BLAST to drive.
+MrCarGuy20 Sure it was with as much torque as my washing machine.
The 2006 and 07 SI’s K20 is hands down my favorite N/A mass produced engine Hands has made. My 07 has 158k and still runs like a top and is a blast to drive.
The Hands Kibik YAS my favorite car ❤
Kyle, u just uploaded one of the best cars in the world which is better than cars nowadays. I like this! XD
+Drunken Ira Hayes It was one of the best compact cars before and now too. I like Honda, they never make issues and they does a great job mate
+Alanex Knight They're great cars and alot of fun to drive, but if your idea of the best car in the world is a 200 hp fwd sedan i can only assume you havent been around many cars.
+Doctor Ferdinand Dude, not th best car now but it was the best compact car for the year 2009
Alanex Knight Best compact car for 2009 is a very different statement then "one of the best cars in the world"
+Doctor Ferdinand Forgive me I made a mistake lol
Idk why people hate on this mugen si it looks so good , but bet you if it had a Mitsubishi or subaru logo instead of a Honda everyone would have been drooling over it !
Is that Matt Farah's Million Mile Lexus?
Pls. more cars like this...this is the best video
I really like these Mugen cars. I'm glad the new Civic Si's are coming with spoilers.
The 9th gens are pieces of shit compared to the 8th gens.
+MrCarGuy20 how? 1 has a k20 and one has a k24 they're both k series so they're both amazing.
+TheNuke95 9th gens apparently have crappier suspension
I've never once seen a mugen si on the road.
I have once. They are rare
+Btb971 my friend owns one
+Btb971 They only made 1,000 of them
+Btb971 Glad I've never seen one :)
+Dominic Toretto (y)
Ya know, that was a very impressive review. You professionally nailed it period! Rarely do I encounter exceptional professionalism, content etc.

Fiji blue is a tough color to match
So is dyno blue pearl grrr.. I'm getting my 11' front bumper painted soon. Unless you do it thru honda. It's hard to match
I’ve seen 4 in my whole life. All in NJ. One in Edgewater, one in Clifton, one driving by on the parkway and my lucky co-worker has one.
Hey! You didn't show the visors and if they have illumination like you usually do.
+WhiteSlift I know, I ran out of time and didn't have a chance to do so when filming, didn't realize it till I was editing.
+Gary Cohen It's the leftover glue they put on the track, makes everything squeal pretty much haha.
+Saabkyle04 Can U review 2016 Kia Sorento?
The 2012-2015 civic SI is the last true VTEC civic!
i remember 2 years ago there was one parked right down my house and I biked to it in awe.
I saw one of these the other day & “MAN!” Had no idea what it was, thanks for the detailed review.
I have drove right past this place before! It blows my mind how close you do your reviews to where I live!

This car was my favorite SI!
This was the best review I've watched in a long time. I wish you could go out and do more cars like this. :)
i remember these cars years ago they were sharp looking then and still today
What an awesome looking car
LOve the way these cars drive and that manual transmission is a delight. Thanks for such a detailed view of this thrilling Si!
I love this car for being a very fun daily driving car and really great to learn manual transmission.
The Honda Civic becomes global !
this is the rare one i never see this anywere i only see the regular si
but its nice blue mugen
Great video, I enjoyed the audio and visuals of the two being compared. Great job guys!
The Honda Civic Si MUGEN is in a blue Exterior Colour and the Standard Si Sedan has red Exterior Colour. Both have a cloth trim Interior.
Anyone else miss the old school saabkyle vids
I really enjoyed this video, it was extremely well done so great job Kyle! This one was special enough for me to comment because I own a 07 Fiji blue Si sedan! If I can't afford a Focus RS in a few years I'll probably just buy a used Si sedan and keep and modify my SRT4. These are nice cars.
I have an 09 civic right now and I'm looking to trade it in. Do you guys think I should go with a 2010 Nissan altima 2.5 s, 2010 ford fusion se, or an 07 infiniti m35?
+BxAxSxTxA lmao a m35 man. of course!
+BxAxSxTxA Try for a 3.5L Altima, or go for the M35.
The Fusion!!

You and Casey Neistat are the pinnacle youtubers of your each genre of videos.
Can u review the Honda Accord 2016 touring.
Loved the acceleration clips! And welcome back to older stuff! =)
I owned an 8th gen Si for a few years. I found that there was rather annoying rev-hang when upshifting.
Been waiting for this. Great video. Could you review a NA Miata and or a s13 hatch?
Thanks Kyle! This video is very helpful to me.
Honestly, this Civic isn't bad, until ppl start making it too low and can't go over speed bumps. #speedbumps #ihatespeedbumps #notunlessmycarishighenoughtogooverone
Honda's start up dinger sounds like my alarm clock. Really nice car tho.
Excelent! A very complete review! Thanks for sharing this. I gotta love this civic i wish I could get one here in chile. Btw could you please do some reviews of Subarus like the newer sti :)

Avec l'autocollant sur le côté en plus, c'est magnifique !
Nice to be back to basics for a video! I'm ashamed to say I kinda want one of these. As a BMW enthusiast and Volvo owner, I think that breaks some kind of code...
I predict Kyle will have 1 mil subs by July
Yo Kyle, hello again! As usual, another great video, and I was thinking about your Europe trip and the videos you filmed which I absolutely loved a lot. Kyle, i love your content, you are truly the best car reviewer out there, i was wondering if you could show volvo some love (s60 s80 xc60 v40)!
Excellent review. Thank you!
2022 they still look modern
It's Moogen not Millgen.
+Gary Kwan I never said Millgen haha. I pronounced it MEWgen. I thought I might not be spot on, but pretty close haha. Hard to know for certain sometimes.
XD, its hard yet since we are not native Japanese speakers.
+Saabkyle04 am the car is good or the automaic trasmisión or manual
+Gary Kwan +Saabkyle04 "Mmyou-Jen" Jen like Jennifer
+punkrockguy281 Definitely not!
All I can say is that I'm happy with my Csx-S. I like more the JDM look of that gen of civics.
U got what you wanted

the Honda Civic SI Mugen was a sad remainder that the FD2 Civic Type-R was not sold in america.

Love the Mugen civics
WOW i had no idea the 8th gen Si came in a mugen trim. Pretty interesting
Well the 11th gen is here. I personally think 8th gen civic is the overall best civic among all 11 generation, from base model to the top one.
Ps. 9th gen si owner
Saabkyle04 can you do a review on the 2016 Porsche cayman Gt4
