A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

+Seth Porter back in school (around 2008-09) all young kids and probably 20 year olds loved this car, lol. I wasnt exactly a huge fan of it (still not today). I was more into american muscle and german cars.

Yeah I love the 8th gen civic si I own. Same color as the Mugen and a sedan. its a really nice car inside and out. Though driving it in Iowa is a hassle sometimes due to the shitty roads and snow.

I really like these Mugen cars. I'm glad the new Civic Si's are coming with spoilers.
The 9th gens are pieces of shit compared to the 8th gens.

I'm tempted to say "oldschool Saabkyle04": older, not quite as fancy and luxurious cars as we have become used to in recent years. Not a fan of the car but good work Kyle as usual.
You should be a fan, it's an excellent car designed as a whole that is greater than the sum-of-parts. For example, Honda fit the necessary LSD to maximise front wheel traction, unlike others who cut corners (VW, Ford). The K20 engine is an extremely well engineered engine too, with features like under piston skirt oil squirters, extremely high flowing head and very rigid engine block. Besides "slow car" fast is fun. :)

Those mk8 Civic still has incredible modern and actual looking after ten years. Only 10th model can beat it.
Ya know, that was a very impressive review. You professionally nailed it period! Rarely do I encounter exceptional professionalism, content etc.
The tires are what made this car (the Mugen). I traded in my 07 Si sedan for my Mugen when it was new (how has it been 8 years!?!) and the difference was so noticeable. Sadly, this generation was the last great Honda product before the new business strategy era of cost cutting and BS cars. The K20 in this was fantastic and it's too bad Honda has designed shitty cars for the past 7 years now.

Idk why people hate on this mugen si it looks so good , but bet you if it had a Mitsubishi or subaru logo instead of a Honda everyone would have been drooling over it !

The 2006 and 07 SI’s K20 is hands down my favorite N/A mass produced engine Hands has made. My 07 has 158k and still runs like a top and is a blast to drive.

I just recently picked up an 2007 8th gen si, its a great car! The only issues you have to really be worried about are the 3rd gear popout in 2006-2008 cars and the clutch master cylinder has to be replaced some times. I do wish I had the mugen kit, even though its boy racer it does look nicer than stock to me. There is also a rev hang where the revs don't drop after you push the clutch in, but getting a hondata flashpro will fix that and make it a lot more drivable than stock.

I know that you've improved, your knowledge expended and this became more serious than it actually was. I mean now it's your way of living. when I remember the videos of the old GMs and others, man that was a while ago. You used to talk about very few things, but I used to enjoy every second of the video. please do not take it as I mean it became less enjoyable than it was . the thing is that I wanted to tell you keep it up and God bless you. Fiji blue is a tough color to match

Ha! I bought one of these new back in 2008. This is a coincidence. It was the only one at the dealer. I remember the day I first saw it. It was sitting outside head to head with an S2000 CR edition. I later sold it but it was a fun little toy.

My 2008 Honda Civic Type R is the only Honda in the Philippines as 8th generation from 2006.

The Honda Civic Si MUGEN is in a blue Exterior Colour and the Standard Si Sedan has red Exterior Colour. Both have a cloth trim Interior.
Ah I wanted a Civic SI sedan from this generation but ended up not getting one. I hope Honda makes the current or next gen Civic SI (or perhaps Type-R if they decide to bring it to the USA) more competitive with other makers as far as power goes. I'd love to see a Civic SI/Type-R in the USA with 300 HP from the factory.
