We need a citizen community review board that can override the internal affairs and police policies, procedures to follow the law fairly.

This stinks, but I heard the Sargent say to you the first time that it was up to YOU and the defendant as to settling the charges, and you caught it outside . Follow ups like this and the way you handle things is what makes you the best in many people’s mind , including myself . That detective needs a new job . Thanks for all you do brother .

@@TTA42800 If you had even attempted to grab his wrist, we know you would be facing state charges, as in plural. I had someone grab my wrist in a similar fashion and the officers didn't see any immediate injury. Even before the bruising appeared, the defendant was charged with several state charges. In fact, an additional charge was added after I showed the bruising to the detective.
I agree that this "City Ordinance Battery" was designed specifically to CYA city employees.

I love how the tyrants make you give your complaint outside on the sidewalk instead of inside in an office sitting down like a professional.
All because they refuse to allow you to record your interactions in "their" building which WE own, thus making the process difficult and as unpleasant as possible in the hopes you will give up, screw up, or go just go away.

I think the sergeant just admitted that they have two tiers of justice in that city. If you’re a friend of the city, you get charged under the city ordinance and you don’t go to jail. But if you do something a cop doesn’t like you’re going to jail on the state charge.

James TTA...why don't you FOIA Request all Battery charge cases from this police department AND the court decisions in all of them? That way you could LOOK AT and EXAMINE and COUNT how many people were charged with the state statute and how many were charged with the milk-toast, watered-down, weak, nothing-burger city ordinance that has NO jail time. IF you were not contacted by the Detective and you should have been, and IF you were not notified about anything to do with the charge, the court proceedings and you weren't "worked with" by the Prosecutor or anything AS THE VICTIM of the battery...YOU CAN PROVE WHAT THE NORMAL PATTERN, THE PROCEDURE AND THE CHARGE WOULD HAVE BEEN, had the Detective and/or Prosecutor "worked with" you. ;)

Oh yeah they save the City Ord. for one of their own. #749 there I’d like to believe is going do his thing, whatever that may involve🤔. The fact that you were NEVER contacted regarding that incident as the victim, by the detective on the case, speaks volumes to her intention to minimize and get it dismissed with the prosecutor involved too, I’ll guarantee that. I have little hope ever in getting true justice when it involves one of their own so to speak. There is no equal treatment across the board and that’s where the bulk of the problems lie and will continue to until they’re actually held accountable. Hands on is hands on. What if you had grabbed another individuals hand and camera in their office? I’d about guarantee you’d have been in hand cuffs at the minimum!

Commander Bradford may seem on the "up & Up", but you can't really tell! It seemed to me that he tried to defend the Detective by stating that "because there were no injuries", that's why she went that route. However, like the Sarge stated.."they usually will notify the victim, and discuss it, at least"! Obviously, that isn't the case, therefore, I'd be skeptical about how this will all pan out. Good luck my brother and don't let it get you down regardless of the outcome!! Love your channel...!

State law vs city ordinance...up to officer discretion... this why there is no police accountability.

There is no reason why this conversation needed to be done outside that’s extremely unprofessional it should have taken place in an office at the very least

Good move TTA! He battered you while in the course of his duty as a city employee. The city should be held liable too. That lady cop who was investigating the incident should be disciplined! Wonder why there is a disconnect between law officers and the citizens.

It should not matter an assault is an assault, state must follow through with the complaint and let the judge or the jury make the determination. The complaint should be upheld, she did not follow the policies and procedures, end of story.
