Looks great 👍🏼 - I made cassava pone for the first time in years last week and I forgot about the “blobs” of butter on top. I remembered watching you do so now. Gotta remember the next time - thanks for the reminder
Them ole people sprinkle sugar water on everything they bake. As a child in the 60’s I asked my mom why she sprinkled the bread with water, she said her grandmother did it in the 20’s THE END OF THAT CONVO.
Looks beautiful.....and so delicious! Thanks for the video! My question what if you can't find it grated ...or frozen and grated ok n the store.... what do you do? Thanks!
This is the next of my favorite but because of diabetes I don’t make it anymore Just looking I feel satisfied like I had a taste You are an incredible cook and baker I don’t make too many desserts only if any of my family visit But since I moved away my daughter don’t eat a lot of sweet Thank you for posting all your delicious dishes 😍
You replace the sugar with a brown sugar substitute like Splenda Allulose that does not spike blood sugar. I as well have diabetes but I love my cake so it work in replacement

Thank you Farida, it’s a good recipe.. do you put pumpkin in yours? My husband is from Trinidad and he usually does.. It’s tasty too... enjoy the weekend ..❤️❤️
Hi Nadi, I used your recipe, so far it came out great. I ate it hot, so it was gooey on the inside. By tomorrow it will be set better. I was told to add a piece of pumpkin 🎃, by an old but beautiful Aunty from Trinidad. That's the only thing I added differently. But overall it was the same recipe.
Thank you Sherene for your awesome feedback. My husband is from Trinidad and his sister made it once and she added pumpkin. It was good. I yet have to try it out. Have a wonderful blessed evening.💜💜
@@NadisKitchen1 Hi Nadi, I know your spirit. 💚💜 Thank you. Keep me posted when you taste it with the pumpkin, really just a small amount. I came out Great, I like it gummy on the inside. I left in 15 minutes longer. Next time I will stick to the hour.
I think black pepper is the classic way it's made. I love lots of it and it is sweet when I make it. It's a personal taste and can be left out. It's kind of like people adding pumpkin. I've never had it with it but I think it would taste great.
You can cook well done looks so delicious 😋

Great recipe. Simple and easy especially with measurements ahead of making. I use condense milk instead of sugar. Thanks.

Can you use something instead milk product?
Hi Enola, I have never tried this but I am thinking substitute the carnation milk with coconut milk. Will have to give this a try too.
You can leave out the milk (some ppl leave it out) if you aint get any subsitute.
If you look you will find the recipe
Gd day can I add pumpkin to this recipe
Hi Dorn, Yes absolutely you can add pumpkin.
Not hearing
Yasmeen, so sorry.. I just watched it and the volume seems fine from my end. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.. 💕
Will try thanks
The black pepper threw me off
Cassava pone is suppose to be sweet, not acid. Use the ginger and leave the black pepper out
A little bit of the black pepper can go in
