    Great review Matt! Have you ever ridden the Epic EVO or Scalpel SE to compare this with?

      Thanks. I've ridden the Epic Evo and really liked it. The suspension on the blur feels "plusher" while maintaining the sensation of speed and quickness of the Epic. I haven't ridden the Scalpel but I'm currently on the new Cervelo ZFS-5 and loving it! -Matt

      @@mikesbikes I just drove up to a shop nearby who had the Epic Expert EVO Carbon in that terracotta pinkish color and it was pretty nice! Which bike pedals more efficiently in your opinion? I have a Tallboy 4 now so I'm a little partial to SC, but I've owned more Specialized mtn. bikes than any other brand. Solid bikes and this Epic EVO is 25.5lbs!

    Hi Mike,
    I am thinking in getting one, would you go with 2,35 tires and fixed seatpost?
    Would you recommend getting a remote for the suspension and rear shock?
    thanks

      I think a 2.3 tire would be a good width and then choose your tread type based on your location, conditions and whether you want more traction or less rolling resistance. As for seatpost, droppers on EVERYTHING!

      @@mikesbikes and the remote for both suspension and rear shock?

      @@pedrodias8537 Personally, I don't like the cluttered look of all the additional cables required for both lockouts but that's a personal choice.

      @@mikesbikes Totally on point about droppers. I finally put a dropper on my Highball, and it's so much better because of it.

      Why wouldn't you want a dropper?

    How would you compare this to the Epic Evo?

    • @mikesbikes
      @mikesbikes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The best way I can summarize it is that it feels just as fast and quick, but is more capable and fun. It feels like more bike than it is when you get in to rowdier terrain.

    Looks just like my Specialized Epic Evo.

      We can see that. Great bike for sure.

    I absolutely love mine. Just like he said, very fast, yet way more capable in the rough than you'd think.

      Do you have the tr version or the xc version. If you have the tr version does it have a remote lockout? I am on the fence on which one to get

    • @stayfido
      @stayfido 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@googlyboogly1060 tr. no remote lockouts on the tr, but to be honest it climbs so well I don’t wish I had it. I only use the manual lockouts when on the road or some long fire road climb. I’d ask yourself, where you ride most of the time. If it’s the least bit chunky, get the trail.
