Man, elevators basically ruin the game. The rest of it is workable, but they gotta get that figured out. I can't actually ask friends to play with how bad it is right now.
And there is no way they will go away, to do so would require a complete redesign and layout for every landing zone in the game. Some of those elevators move you a few kilometers, switching to hallways or direct walking routes would be a very long and in more inconvenient than buggy transport systems
What I mean is there's plenty to do in Star Citizen if you can get to a ship and actually fly around. There's mining and salvaging and exploring and cargo hauling and fighting. Lots of stuff, but all of that requires a ship. I don't mean there's an individual work around to every issue because obviously there isn't.
I'm not suggesting that they remove them. I'm suggesting that they figure out how to make them work. They would be an excellent system and make the most sense, but right now they're such a hindrance that I would rather have less immersion and more time to actually enjoy the game.
No fr tho this comment, like fuk cig just make stares lol jk ik it’s probably some back end instance shot but damn if it ain’t annoying when they’re this close to everything working in a long while ( I still rember some good times pre 3.23 and .18
I’ve never known a game with bugs that persist across multiple patches as much as they do in star citizen (even very early alpha games). It’s quite baffling that we have many of the same bugs from all the way back in 3.18 in 4.01. My belief was that these issues were core infrastructure problem, the fact these bugs have continued into server meshing with little sign of letting up leads me to question if they’ll ever be resolved.
I'm far from a CIG apologist, but that's the nature of game dev (really any kind of dev). We're playing while they're building things, and it's an extremely complex piece of software. Annoying? Sure. But unprecedented or abnormal... not by a longshot.
you gotta remember that its likely not the same thing breaking the elevators and trams every patch, they likely ARE "sucessfully" fixing issues with elevators, then new patch comes around and messed it up in a new, different way. im not a game dev but I've written enough basic python to know as your project bloats in scope things you "already fixed" start breaking in new and exciting (see:infuriating) ways. hell often fixing something mechanical like an engine in one way makes it break itself in another. it makes lots of sense that post 4.0 would finally be the time to focus on polish and QoL, we can bring out the guillotines if 2026 comes and we are still dealing with this stuff regularly, till then ima let them cook.
I hate the elevators. I’m at the point where I’m flying halfway through the solar system and just logging off on my ship. They need to stop adding features and just stick to fixing the game.
We needed patches to hit and make things better. They have a history of dropping a patch and breaking shit. Then spend the next week hot fixing it back.
@@sanctred it would be nice if they could get it right the first try. That takes time and it’ll probably break anyway, even if they went slow. Designs on paper don’t translate 100% to the real world applications. I like to see that they’re trying and constantly pushing out fixes. It shows effort.
@ every other game and software company on the planet has a process to test and release stable software. CIG does not and just craps things into live for us to test. They need to stop.
The biggest problem is stored ship not found or found distroyed!, I lost a reclaimer with it's millions cargo because I have to pick up something that I left the hanger and stored it! that's heart breaking!
Its fine to deal with most bugs but not being able to reliably store your ship because it comes out skewed is a big problem, especially for bigger ships that might have cargo too. always having to reclaim it and waiting ages or paying too much
With the frequent bugs coming back patch after patch, i suspect that the main reason for bugs is simply too many dependencies for each component, or wrong dependencies. kinda like the position of both the space station and the elevators within having its position set in relation to the same point in space, making desync a considerable problem when the elevator shaft and the elevator is not syncong to the same position in space... extremely simplified, but u get my drift. its like making a 3D model in solidworks, where you think you are doing perfect, but down the line you find out u did an error 3 days ago that today will cause something to not work, but u dont know what..
I wonder if the summoning to another hangar, is actually that the ship is falling out of the hangar during deployment. Sounds like the hangar elevators are acting like the Connie cargo bay used to.
Its good they seemed to be dedicated to getting playability and stability this year. Obviously new features need to be added and the game progressed too.
The Fortune auto stack is not enough to excuse the 1 scraper, opposed to the Vulture 2 Fortune is still a nice ship however, and good for tight spaces like a Polaris hangar
Thats its advantages over the vulture. If the fortune had 2 scrapers it would be superior to the vulture and nobody would have to decide between them. The back and forth debate is what is preferred over a new vehicle that is just flat out better. For me the auto stack is good enough over the 2nd scraper.
I hope they do fix those bugs, only reason I stopped playing is cause it has been a pain to plain with my girlfriend thanks to bugs. I appreciate the giveaway man.
Enter Arena commander. Return to menu, select PU. Go to character customization. Change something, save character, if it says no reply from server, retry (I had to retry up to three times). When character customization returned, entered PU. Got me out of infinite loading screen on a shard locked character. YMMV,, Good luck
When the world is raging with turmoil and angry people, I hop in my 400i , with a Pulse loaded in and I go explore and discover outposts. Grab some loot and end the day home, with a beer and some skewed rat on a campfire. CIG thank you !

Missions not completing is not walkaroundable mstter

We use to have a show called Bug Smashes. CIG canceled it shortly after bc they realized they couldn't smash 10%.
We really dont need the MegaUltraUber Hornet, just stbaility and the absolute chnace of getting into space at all.
I hate the elevators. I’m at the point where I’m flying halfway through the solar system and just logging off on my ship. They need to stop adding features and just stick to fixing the game.
This is what they said they are doing right now.
7 minutes for 1 RMC is probably due to the Vulcan/Salvaging bug. If you are running Vulcan salvaging takes forever on either ship.
Good to know! I thought they nerfed it when the Vulcan update came out. Now im back to DX11 because of the new DLSS4
So I will give it a try again!
I hope they take their time with this one and make sure the major show stoppers are fixed before they release it.
Does it matter if it takes the same amount of real world time to get it all done and fixed?

Transit system refactor has to be top priority for CIG rn, its been holding the game back for years
Half scraping speed for the Fortune is too much of a disadvantage. The convenience doesn't make up for it.
The biggest problem is stored ship not found or found distroyed!, I lost a reclaimer with it's millions cargo because I have to pick up something that I left the hanger and stored it! that's heart breaking!
Thanks for the update, Erad.
Looking forward to handyman, box delivery and investigation missions for some chill play.
Transport refactor should be priority.
I keep wishing they would get armor lockers online.
Its fine to deal with most bugs but not being able to reliably store your ship because it comes out skewed is a big problem, especially for bigger ships that might have cargo too. always having to reclaim it and waiting ages or paying too much
I hope they can just get the servers running smoother, I’d love to start my phase 1 of Fight for Pyro
The last few days after escaping the planets the game has played pretty well!
I'm still waiting to see if CIG will nerf the Vulture in order to push Fortune sales.
Been going OK with salvaging in the Fortune. Going to change from the stock load out to an Abrader.
Ship problems in hangars is a pretty big issue at the moment. I would expect some major attention directed at resolving the hangar bugs.
I really can't image what to expect from 4.0.2 except new ships. Definitly i don't expect new features like fires, engineering and other stuff.
I wonder if the summoning to another hangar, is actually that the ship is falling out of the hangar during deployment. Sounds like the hangar elevators are acting like the Connie cargo bay used to.
Its good they seemed to be dedicated to getting playability and stability this year. Obviously new features need to be added and the game progressed too.
would be nice to see them fix all those bugs for sure.
I hope they fix the large hangars at Ruin station. I cannot leave there due to a second set of doors that never open.
The Fortune auto stack is not enough to excuse the 1 scraper, opposed to the Vulture 2
Fortune is still a nice ship however, and good for tight spaces like a Polaris hangar
Thats its advantages over the vulture. If the fortune had 2 scrapers it would be superior to the vulture and nobody would have to decide between them. The back and forth debate is what is preferred over a new vehicle that is just flat out better. For me the auto stack is good enough over the 2nd scraper.
The conveyor on the fortune makes me like it over the vulture, so to each their own. Literal game changer.
The number of people "giving away" misc fortunes is super funny. That ship is trash, I would melt it.
I finally got the components the latest patch took from me back. Heres hoping persistence actually works for 4.0.2
Hope the elevators and hangars improve in 4.0.2 =)
Isn't the Valentine's event is due to launch at the end of the week or on Monday? The devs are probably preparing for that.
Hope 4.0.2 is more stable, 4.0.1 have been fun tho
loading screens in elevators and trams would be ok till the correctly fix them
Thanks for the vid - hope CIG will fix everything soon :)
Thanks for the info!!
I hope they do fix those bugs, only reason I stopped playing is cause it has been a pain to plain with my girlfriend thanks to bugs. I appreciate the giveaway man.
as long as I haven't finished phase 2 of fight to pyro, I won't be able to release 4.0.2 ^^.
Praying fora stable build. Wk busy so have little time for play. Need quality time 😓
Oh no .... Salvaging with Fortune seems no fun
Keep the patches happening!
Just want more persistence!
i really hope it will get better also want my perseus someday
I like the game alot but it is really unplayable most of the time, hope they fix everything soon :(
I wonder how long will it take to get the game back to playable state. Will it even happen this year?
Wait. Does this mean fight for Pyro will end? I haven’t had a chance to try it yet… bugs😅
4 pon 0 pon 2 is gonna be epic😅
Already? Cig needs to actually spend their time fixing things instead of the shitshow they been doing
Thank you.
Thanks!
I want the misc fortune 😊
first thing is do not trust CIG for there patches 😂 all patch are work only on day 1...next day will be garbage again lol
I have been experiencing the infinite loading screen, any suggestions on how to fix that?
Enter Arena commander. Return to menu, select PU. Go to character customization. Change something, save character, if it says no reply from server, retry (I had to retry up to three times). When character customization returned, entered PU. Got me out of infinite loading screen on a shard locked character. YMMV,, Good luck
@ thanks
MAKE ELEVATORS GREAT AGAIN
Another good SC song!
Good video
If you're new don't buy star citizen, it's a griefers paradise that's void of content and buggy as hell.
Good vid❤
