Just got mine! Eager to start trying it out 😁 - mine doesn’t have the front handle just the one on top. Also no small back pocket for passport etc. Mine is two-tone maroon/red with black interior. The price was right and good enough reviews for me. So far I’m just day hiking and looking to start multi-day hiking.
Great review. I bought this bag before wating your video. I think it's good value for money bag. Full zip is excellent idea. Coincidentally we also bough waist organizer.
Thanks for the review. I bought the backpack a week ago and used it on walks in the alps. I'm very happy with it although I'm 1.84. no torso length issue for me TBH
The straps could be improved but it does the job I love the fact that the bag unzips entirely for easy access and for the money it's pretty good. But it isn't the best bag in the world neither.
for those that have bought this backpack, would you think it's suitable for backpacking in Asia? Where we will probably not be hiking with it for too long at a time, more for storing our things/living out of and in transit
If you just need to live out of it, and not carry it for hours, then a camping back is probably even better. As the reviewer said this is a hiking bag that is also suitable as a travel bag.
I liked the detailed review from actual experience woth the bag. thx! A tip to make me value or more; a bit more preparation/ editing to avoid repetition and knowing your actual torso size b/c that stuff is relevant for a a viewers (me😅).
Good review. About that metal bar (spine of the bag); does the metal bar in your bag is a bit curved too? I bought the same Forclaz model online and the unit I received has that metal bar curved from the middle. I don't know if this is normal or my unit is damaged. Please confirm it.
Hi..i m considering to get pack..havr a few doubts.. Is this pack suitable for hiking/trekking? How would u rate it against th Trekking 50L-easyfit pack? Most prob will be using it for a yesrly hiking trip.. Thank u
I just got back from a 4 day 75k hike and it does the job. One of the main features I like about the backpack is that there's a zip that allows you to get quickly into the entire bag and then it zips up the entire bag again. It's not the best backpack it's definitely a budget backpack in terms of comfort but it does a job for most people.
I plan to walk about 300 km for 10 days, would you recomend this bag for that, im 190cm tall, also is there possibility to attach a tent for 4 person (59x20x18cm) on the outside of the backpack. Thanks in advance.
@@dennisthomas8755 bought the bag couple of months ago. I checked in a couple of times on the plane. Everything fine. This bag is great. Off-road bag. Thanks for the review!
Hi i thinking buy this bag for Trekkig and Hiking 3 days maximum do you think it's enough for space in general? i have 1,85 cm I'm afraid of not fitting my hips and straining my lower back, what do you think?
I myself found the bag on the longest setting not long enough to rest on my hips so be careful and try it in the store first if you can, worse case you can take it back. Maybe try the Ultralight series or they have the MT100 which has a larger adjustability.
Thank you so much for this review! Glad I found it. I'm thinking of buying this bag for a short camping/backpacking trip. Do you think it's the right backpack for me, as I am a woman and I am 168 cm tall? I can't find any photo's or video's of woman wearing the backpack.
Well it's a very standard backpack with average demensions I would recommend a different bag from them www.decathlon.fr/p/sac-a-dos-de-trekking-femme-60-l-mt100-easyfit/_/R-p-309808?mc=8678452 good luck 👍🏻
That zipper down the front, if it fails it’s going to render the bag useless…especially in mind of the handle there relying entirely on the zipper. That’s a deal breaker for me. When traveling, if I were you, I’d wrap at least one cinch strap around the whole thing to de-strss the front zipper. Not bad for the price point, though.
@@TheOneGoodRoad Yes but not too convenient when you are travelling though. Thanks for the review. I always like to personalise kit, eg with extra bags, I especially like the belt bag addition as it can be used when you don't have the bag - multifunctional.
The 'useless' pocket on the front is quite useful if you want to dry ur socks while hiking.
It's not useless, but I just would've preferred a larger one. 😉
I don't know, I just thinking how about putting cash or coins in it.
Can put candies

Its around 30$ in Malaysia . Even for Malaysian thats so cheap but still get 10 years warranty
Been eyeing this bag for my upcoming backpacking trip. I guess I’ll purchase this one.

Maybe it was a design choice so that then we buy more waist bags? 😛

huh and the straps stayed tight?
@@TheOneGoodRoad yes no problems
i’m 155 cms tall, do you think this one will be too big for me?
@@wiredupweird9435 yes
You can adjust the torso with that velcro strap on the back. I'm 183 and adjusted there
the net pocket at the back I put gloves in there. The small waiste poket is very useful for tickets, borrle opener, pen knife and change I find.
Great video! Have you kept using this bag? If so, how has it held up? Thanks
The straps could be improved but it does the job I love the fact that the bag unzips entirely for easy access and for the money it's pretty good. But it isn't the best bag in the world neither.
I only want an adequate bag for international travel if the holiday duration does not exceed 2-3 weeks.
for those that have bought this backpack, would you think it's suitable for backpacking in Asia? Where we will probably not be hiking with it for too long at a time, more for storing our things/living out of and in transit
It should do the job for this. But I'd say there are other bags from Decathlon that are better equipped.
@@TheOneGoodRoadwhich ones?

Would you recommend this bag for people looking to travel Europe for about a month?
Yeah I think it's aimed exactly at this market

Glad it was helpful!
I'm very interested to get one for travelling. I'm a 158 cm woman, do you think it will be comfortable enough ?
Depends on your torso length but I would say it should be a good fit for you.
Can it be used as cabin baggage instead of checkin
So brother. Whats the review now. How much did the bag perform and how it is now?
Still doing well, I use it now and then for everyday things.
Hi can't find the extra pocket on Decathlon site.
Do you have the name or product code ?
Thanks.

Thanks a lot for this review! do you think that this is a nice bag to bring as a carry-on on planes?
I would say so yes.
Please review the regular backpacking version please!
Sorry can you tell me the exact model you are referring to?
@@TheOneGoodRoad Hi! This is the travel version, easily identified by the front zip panel.
Thanks for the review, maybe i missed it but can you lock the zippers with a small padlock? thanks for the reply in advance.
You can't really :/ even if you lock the 3 zipper together you can still open it, and there is always an acces by the top of the bag anyway
Would this be adequate for two months traveling around Thailand? Thanks
I'd say that's exactly what it is intended for.
Is there a rain cover included?
Surprisingly it's not included
if we compare with decathlon forclaz mt500 50L and this backpack. whats your opinion which one is best
I'd recommend something between the two, MT100 50L, is worth having a look at.

That tiny can fit a small hand towel leaving my pant/jacket pockets free. Or a small sunscreen.

Do you recommend this bag, to carry on, or its to big?
Do you have problems to use in plain as carry on?

Each airline will specify the exact size requirements. I would say it should fit.

You can compress it if you need to :) (you can even take of the metal bar as shown in the video if you want it to be extra small)
