Hi Kurt’s, Thank you for this great video! I’m excited to travel to Madagascar, but not sure how save it is for female European travellers. What’s your personal opinion on that?
Hi Oksana, You must remember this is a Third World country with terrible infrastructure. That said, as in any country, you travel to, you always remain vigilant and watch where you go, and what you do. We saw a number of western females that appeared to be traveling alone. When traveling in Madagascar, you definitely need a driver/guide. I’m not sure I would be comfortable as a female traveling in their public transportation. That said as a male, having seen their public transportation, I wouldn’t want to travel in it anyway! But again, when traveling in Madagascar, you definitely need someone that knows the country and speaks the language of French and Malagasy to get around . with that in mind, you should have no problems traveling, and you should be perfectly safe. Also, the people, as in most countries, are very nice, kind, just very poor. PS, as in any foreign land that you’re not familiar with, you don’t go out alone after dark. Hope that helps! Happy travels.
Hi Kurts, I'll be in Madagascar this summer and I'm planning my trip along the east coast, can I ask you how your experience was there and also if you have any local contacts you can recommend?
Thank you so much for watching this great video. Great video.👍❤
