Tbh the yellowing is more likely because it was either left in direct sunlight, extreme heat, or just unfortunate defect. I haven't had *any* of my figures yellow like that.

I have both RX-02 Banshee and Freedom Gundam, neither of them had any yellowing or defects. You have a point with the rubbery feeling, but I think your specific Unicorn just got left in direct sunlight probably in transit/packaging.

I got this figure when it first came.out, and it came with 2 left legs. Everything worked fine, but you could tell it was 2 of the same leg because the pattern of the psycho frame was the same on both sides

“The worst” yeah this isn’t even close to the worst Gundam figure.
The lack of articulation is probably a sacrifice for when kids play with it, so its easier for them to manage and fuck around with without the kids being annoyed or the figure getting fucked up

I didn’t even know Gundams yellow too. Modern Transformers have an issue with that.

I only bought the universe banshee as a placeholder until I got the rg banshee and armed armor expansion kit. Once I built it, the universe figure went back into its box and buried in storage until the end of time
What is the No Grade Gundam you used to compare the Unicorn?
If they made the red part of the suit translucent like it is on the model kits it would look a lot better.
Ive got most of this line. Aside from 1 fig (RX-93 Nu Gundam) ive had zero issues. Love this line

I don’t think many people know this (or care) but the best version of the unicorn gundam, the real grade, also glows under black light despite having clear plastic.
(The mgex is technically the best overall kit but the LEDs stop working after a while making the psycho frame useless)
Well when the LEDs break you can just make it a really expensive good looking Unicorn mode figure so there's that
See, I've been hearing for a while that the LEDs stop working after a while, but the vast majority of the people I've seen say that (admittedly, few) either bend it too harshly and sever the wires, or leave the LEDs on for way longer than they have any reason to, and then complain that they burnt out (as any light would).
I'll let you know how mine goes once I build it.
These were made for kids, the build quality is just below anything Bandai does. When you get gundam action figures the best way to go is robot spirits for smaller scale and GFFMC/ metal build for bigger scale. This line just sucks in general. Over designed, poorly engineered and worst of all waste of money

I just bought the Gundam Universe GP01Fb Full Burnern, and it's more of a "meh" figure. Articulation is let down by the limited range of the front skirts, the ball joints of the hands are extremely tight to the point where you might actually snap them off the wrists, and the right hand can barely hold the beam rifle. The worst part is that the figure does not come with a shield. The figure looks good on a shelf, but it's missing the point, as it just lacks heavily in playability compared to Robot Damashii figures. So yeah, the GP01Fb will be the only Gundam Universe figure in my collection (unless Bandai actually makes a GP02A).
Blacklights will only exacerbate the yellowing lol
The robot spirits rx-78-2 anime ver is 100 times better than the universe line, i have mine since 2016 and it's as good as new.

Hey gundam universe isn't bad. You want to see bad figures. Look at the gundam infinity line for garbage gundam figures
Edit: every review I've seen for GU makes me glad I'm a gunpla builder instead but maybe if these figures where the infinity line price of 10 to 15 I wouldn't say the figures are bad but at 24.99 price and nothing new only for to this line (i.e. like the shelong from wing before it finally got a model) just makes its a really big waist of time especially since they don't
give you much in terms of goodies for gundam battle operations 2.honestly 4 out of 10 for me on this line and 2 out of 10 for infinity
Honestly I thought this exact figure and the Banshee version and neither of them are that bad they're honestly really good and very sturdy the articulation isn't that bad sure the joints are a little tight on the Banshee but other than that they're perfectly fine sturdier than most model kit so honestly I don't know what this guy's problem is

The figure is bigger than the HG because unicorn is a bigger suit - it's probably about the same size as the HG. Super lame figure overall and I saw someone in the comments say it's fragile even though you'd think making it out of solid rubbery plastic and paint instead of lots of parts would make it more solid

Honestly I'm not a fan of unicorn Gundam so anything unicorn just looks bad to me it's such a boring looking Gundam and even the super mode is kind of forgettable but this one is atrocious

found in recommended, honestly pretty impressed! a few things i might wanna put out, maybe chill the editing down a little bit? feels a little bit much and its pretty fast paced (for me anyways). feels a little bit like 60% review 40% comedy lol. the editing itself is pretty dang good though. look forward to what you have in the future!

Don't get Gundam figures unless they are metal builds! Or just not be lazy and build a Gunpla model kit, they are easier than they look!

Gundam Universe may sometimes have QC issues, but Gundam Infinity weren't even painted and engineered in an acceptable degree. Missing paints, lack of joints, terrible material, etc. Try to review that shiet next time, you'll be surprised 💀

if I wanted cheaper Gundam figures, I'd buy an HG kit instead of the gundam universe line. Robot damashi is probably the only good action figure line in this.
The only unicorns with decent knee beds are the mgex and pg unfortunately

The Gundam universe figures are actually really good. I own two and they are perfectly fine. I think you just got a bad copy
