My dad worked line maintenance at KRDU for Piedmont from 1985 until the merge with USAir. He then continued with USAir until his retirement. He always said nothing would ever again compare to working for Piedmont. I grew up under 727s, 737s and F28s. My dad passed in 2013. His name was Jay Netterville. I know he would be so proud to see people wearing the speed bird again. I know I am.
Yea brother. You know our dads are looking at us now with proud faces. I’m less than one money away from my O&P,s and I’m already head of maintenance of a small flight school. So happy doing my job
Watching this as I expect to start my first semester of MTX school in 6months. Im really nervous... I’ve felt like I’ve never accomplished anything professional in my life, so now, after a couple of years as a ramp agent, I felt the calling of the craft. I know I will be good at this. Wish me luck!
I recently retired from the airline business as an A&P. Started in the military then defense contract, commuter regional, air freight, then major airline. Many of these people are making comparisons to automobile maintenance. One thing they made clear in the military is this isn't like a car, you just can't stop thousands of feet in the air & pull over to the side of the sky. FLY NAVY!!!
Average Piedmont Airlines Aircraft Maintenance Technician hourly pay in the United States is approximately $20.77, which is 15% below the national average.
I wish someone could have helped me to become aircraft engineer, but unfortunately i have no fees nothing to fulfill my dreams . 😢 even tho i wanted to become Aircraft Licensed Mechanic.
Yeah ask where American Delta and United get their HMV done. They want workers to just be able to do basic line maintenance oil top off. Changing tires light bulbs etc So they can pay them 25 an hour. They outsource HMV to Mexico , China

Very well done. My Son, Christopher Harper worked at SBY and later PHL maintenance.
