Achieving the objective of the international climate accords requires a whole economy transition. The corporate sector is having to adjust their business models while facing challenges in developing credible net-zero transition plans and addressing complex cross-cutting issues.
The Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) is a global coalition of leading financial institutions. It is committed to accelerating the decarbonization of the economy and promoting a globally consistent approach to transition planning.
The Hong Kong Academy of Finance (AoF) together with the Hong Kong Green Finance Association (HKGFA) and The Hong Kong University of Science Technology (HKUST) are co-hosting Mr. Ben Weisman, Director of Global Public Policy of GFANZ to provide an update on the latest work of GFANZ in transition planning and finance as well as voluntary global standards for carbon markets.
