    It's good to see a channel where doesn't stop the video o music to speak, and feel the entire experience (like BTBAM) to a non-stop. And you got me, glad you like that song and continue in the adventure of BTBAM!

    The album from witch this song come from is a concept album and each song flows into the next one. Between the Buried and Me is pretty well known in the prog metal scene. They are amazing musicians and the list of good songs by this band is pretty long. You might want to give a listen to:
    -Voice of Trespass
    -Swim to the Moon
    -Telos
    -Selkies: the Endless Obsession
    -The Coma Machine
    -Sun of Nothing
    Opeth, Rivers of Nihil and then BtBAM ? You really are choosing the bands that I love theses days haha :) Thanks for the video !

      Also Viridian/White Walls. Really the whole Colors album. When that album dropped, (I had just learned of them 2 weeks earlier with Alaska-Selkies: The Endless Obsession, which piqued my interest) it completely shook my musical world. It was when I heard white walls that my (then) favorite band was replaced. I still love tool, but they can't hold a candle to BTBAM. Greatest. Band. Ever. New album already recorded and dropping this spring.

    Between the Buried and Me typically does concept albums, and this was off their 2012 concept album The Parallax. I was lucky enough to watch them perform that entire album from start to finish in 2013 and it was an insane experience. This band is kind of a big deal in the progressive metal scene. Definitely a lot of Dream Theater influence if you noticed. This was the first band that really expanded my mind to music in general way back in 2005 when I discovered them.

    • @TheAdventuresofTNT
      @TheAdventuresofTNT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Dream Theater!!!! yes, I felt that dream theater influence in this song. I really tried to gather my thoughts because it hard to explain what I was feeling but this is a band that I could have a drink and zone out to. I think I might host a live session and explore their music.

    Awesome to see BTBAM on this channel! I watch your videos ( when you play good music ). I didn’t expect you to play this though! BTBAM is my favorite band. They literally got me into metal. I used to hate screaming in music. I didn’t even understand how anyone could like it. When I first listened to them, the instruments were so good I would just block out the screaming. Now I prefer the screaming with them. Especially live, it literally pumps you up. I get the chills when they start screaming, it’s so good.
    Once you start getting into them, the creativity and musicianship is on another level man. I seriously hope you give a few more songs a listen. I really don’t even care which ones. If you want to get put through a journey though! Silent Flight Parliament and Swim to the Moon are both 17 mins of amazingness!!
    You should try out NeObliviscaris. I’ve seen someone else request it.
    And Plague Flowers The Kaleidoscope. Great live video on TH-cam!
    As Icicles fall = amazing
    Eyrie = super amazing
    I really hope you try some more non mainstream stuff! Maybe some Wintersun! Don’t get me wrong I love me some Megadeth. Just need to expand your horizon!
    Also I hope you try Primus again. Too Many Puppies is IMO their best song.

    Hey, they just released an album called Colors II, which is absolutely incredible. Best since the album that this song came off of, and a followup to Colors from 2007. The amount of callbacks and tangential relationships between Colors I and II is insane. For and example, listen to the first 30 seconds of Decade of Statues, then the first 30 seconds of Double Helix of Extinction. I'm a composer, and this band is directly responsible for me taking music seriously (along with the Wu) almost 2 decades ago.

    Such a great band. I've been listening to these guys for around 10 years now and I can confidently say they've redefined how i think about music. One thing to note is that their albums are very through-composed and tend to function more as one long body of music rather than a collection of individual tracks. Completely agree with what you said at the end as well, i can listen to a 90 minute album from start to finish without ever feeling bored, and no matter how many times i listen to an album i feel like i always discover something new each time. Great reaction, i hope you do more from these guys in the future.

    Viridian/White Walls
    Ants of the Sky
    Selkies: The Endless Obsession
    Telos(same album)
    Extremophile Elite(live)(from the same album, react to the whole live album you won't be sorry)

    Swim to the Moon

It may have one of the best metal grooves in existence. In modern the scene of prog BTBAM are easily one of the best and in my opinion Blake Richardson is the best drummer alive lol.
