Hi, Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Each mast is controlled separately (swinging the yards round, bracing) and I can remove the topmost sails for heavy weather sailing. Nev.

Great video! It's quite nice that you're bringing in some historical background into it, I like to know a bit of the ship I'm seeing.

First time in "Model Boats", and they edited it, so I'm relieved, and pleased. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Beautiful. Zero experience with RC ships/sailboats, are the separately segmented masts so they can be trimmed individually?

Hello Brock, on a sailing ship, going about by turning away from the wind is called, "wearing ship".

Beautiful ship! Do you need a motor to help it sail up wind or it's good on it's own? I'm doing the research to build a tall ship. Don't know wich one yet. There are sooo many beautiful ship models.

Hi, thank you. There are no motors, only the sails. If you build a model, you must get the yards to brace round to within 30deg of the centreline of the hull, in order for the model to sail to windward. If you get it right, the model will sail to 65deg to the wind, no better. Good luck!

That was a jibe, not a tack.
