I am hoping that there will be certain things that you have to do before unlocking the ability to go to other places, or at least a recommended order of dungeon content.

I think its gonna have some of the most story out of every zelda games
I think you are right. It has a lot of games to build off of and it looks like it's referencing a good amount of them.
