- Well this was the range that I have been hoping for honestly. This album is, like I said for their title track, a great representation of who they are as a group nowadays: a YG kpop group that is international and you can feel this in this album for sure. This is a great collaboration between the kpop world and the western music world. I believe the line distribution in this album was quite fair honestly and all the girls have been given the opportunity to shine and to showcase their skills and talent, from vocals to rap, they've shown us everything! Even though I wished we had more tracks I'll try and not be too greedy lol I just hope that the next album does not take 4 years to be produced 😂
My favorite track is probably "pretty savage" and "love to hate me". What about you?

no, there will be no new song to release but the process on making THE ALBUM will be shown. So basically, THE ALBUM should have more that 8 song according to the girls but then they choose what best track for THE ALBUM. Probably, those song that didn’t make it to the final listing of track might be shown in the Netflix documentary since its part of the progress/process of THE ALBUM.

PRETTY SAVAGE hits different knowing it showcases Jisoo's rapping ability, got a chorus verse with Lisa and also got the iconic BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA. My favorite song from the album was YOU NEVER KNOW, JenChuLiChaeng voices just fits to each other and the song sounds promising.

You Never Know is an extremely beautiful. I think it's the underrated gem of this album. I saw an Insta live that Bekuh did and she talked about her struggles in the industry as a songwriter and artist. I feel like I can really hear that in You Never Know. Obviously, the themes also relate to BP as idols, but I also think this song shares Bekuh's personal sentiments as well. I cried when I first listened to that song.

WE NEED A CHAENNIE SUB-UNIT Y'ALL. The way their voices go so well, compliment one another's, blend well, and their harmonisation kills me, also both can use a lot of different techniques and can rock any genre (can even do music like GD X Taeyang).

I just love how this album has so many songs that express what blackpink went trough. These songs are them outing all their emotions and feelings. Break up song, bad relationship songs, better of without you songs, bad bitch songs. I would have loved it to have one happy and in love song, a them being happy in life song. My favorite parts of this album are all of Jennie's raps, Lisa's rap on love to hate me, but nothing tops the vocals. They improved so much, especially Jisoo. They sang with so much confidence, and I think it's partly because of the lyrics, it's 100% dissing their haters and I am so here for it. Rosé, Jisoo and Jennie all have super special voices, and they work so well together. Even if they are not the best singers in terms of technicalities, they are the fking best at emotional singing.
Also, I am so glad Jennie didn't have to renounce her rapping or singing for the other.
Would have loved more, but I would always rather have 7 out of 8 good songs than 6 out of 15.

I just think that jennie, though the best in rapping technically cause for fcking 6 years almost 7, she rap and she's the main rapper in debut. But i think the producers saw lisa as the main now cause she always rap, do blackpink have a song that jennie rap alone? It's sad but that's what I'm thinking. Maybe after the documentary, we can see jennie rapping and people will be enlighten again about this.

This album is literally everything I needed in life. ROSÈ'S AND JISOO'S VOCALS? HELLO???? They have improved so much and I'm so proud. Now I am even more excited fid Rosé's solo. Girl we have the same thought with Bet You Wanna it fits with movies like HSM the beat was like for a happy musical vibe movies specially the part of 'something about me taking you higher' the beat is just so lively and fun.
I’m kinda surprised that none of the girls got credited for You Never Know (especially Jennie) because it feels SO SO SO personal? Like this is literally about them and you can feel the emotions in the song? It also matches Jennie’s history well so... Idk I was just surprised haha
I mean, the writer did talk about the song, how she incorporate her struggle being an artist and a writer. And the writers are close with the girls, so i guess that's how they can get the girls feelings and experiences perfectly.

Obviously, the entire production staff knows what has been happening around the girls. They worked with them for how many years and they know things that fans and haters don't know. So that way they write the lyrics will totally relate and reflect to the girls. With fame comes hate from people; even for non sensical reasons. And as an artist, I think you they won't be able to memorize those lyrics without even understanding the meaning of their lines.

This album is a gem. We had expected a lot and the girls exceeded our expectations and did soo great. The girls especially Jisoo gaining a lot of confidence and the way the lyrics are and the whole.....just everything made me feel a lot of mixed emotions, sadness and happiness and excitement. Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa and Rosé are too precious.
