@Blue_Lightning33 . Some cartoons, from 50 - 80 years ago were very offensive. And people spoke out against them, as well. Many were banned, 30 or so years ago. And considering what many displayed and the real reasonings behind them, one can understand. Yes, there can be a tight line between being just funny and being overtly offensive. That's something we all must deal with.
Tom and Jerry never talked fully but on rare occasions Like movies they are both silent characters all they have is screams shouts but Tom usually sat one-liners
This cartoon got me rolling and laughing, the slapstick violent stuff brought in lots of humour - in my childhood, I loved it , it was the funniest I ever watched
well tom and jerry is an active cartoon show plus its very talkative maybe in some episodes characters like spike the dog, butch the black cat and tuffy the gray mouse and the owners are the ones that would talk the most unlike tom and jerry

Yeah and the rare times they did talk in the classic episodes it was always for a joke, not for a long time. There are a couple of good DVD Tom and Jerry movies though
