Not just tourists but also adding value to raw material. Instead of producing raw cotton turn some of the cotton to textile etc. A GDP per capita of $367 is unacceptable in such a modern economy. The president is either corrupt or low IQ if he can't get the GDP per capita to $3000 in 20 years. It's as simple as having a plan for the economic development and get the people organized. It's about leaders showing leadership like kagame in Rwanda, whose GDP has increase by a factor of 2 since 2010 while malawi GDP has fallen below Rwanda despite having highervpopulation and a higher GDP in 2010. He is a horrible president.
This is what we want in other countries to happen, we need leaders who fear, reverence the Lord, respect people, serve & not to "rule", may the Lord bless chakwera, support from landlocked country
