When the gag groupers at the Skyway piers reach 23", most of them head offshore ! Surprising you have not hooked any of the massive cobia which cruise near the pier. Thanks for another great video.

🌴 hey thon, well the grouper are there just gotta move around on the pier to see we’re there hiding , I would have sent that little jack or blue runner out there for a swim , at least ya got something to chew on , those mangroves were hungry 😄👍🏼

I was at Fort Desoto the other day. We tried throwing cut bait and live greenbas as . Soon as you dropped the bait the Pinfish Just ate everything. Never even had a single bite from a Mangrove snapper
Yeah the pinfish are ruthless at the bay pier! Time to soak some pinfish traps there

Just returned from skyway north and had over 20 live pinfish stolen by dolphins on grouper rigs! They swim up and down and steal the bait. Sucked. Any way to avoid this?
Try this next time! When you see a dolphin coming your way, sit down and raise your rod tip up! That way the dolphin is under your line. When you sit down you’ll blend in with the pier in their eyes. It works sometimes. Try it out and come back to this comment let me know.

Outgoing! You can get them on the incoming too though
so it seems like you can't set the pole down for the skyway grouper maybe that's why they stick me in the rocks
