I used to rebuild used craftsman ratchets at sears. I doubt they bother with that anymore.

An old mechanic taught me how to open a ratchet up and put grease inside. Really makes it work nicely.

I used to manage a Sears store and when I was bored I replaced the gears inside the head and cleaned them up for replacements for Craftsman. I could easily do a few a minute I got so good at it.

I miss Sears. All the ones by me closed and i miss the old USA craftsman. The price was great and i’ve never broke any of them. But my craftsman sets now i’ve gone through 2 1/2 rackets taking off lug nuts in my road kit
