  • Tura is headquater town of West Garo hills, we travelled in Meghalaya, North East India for 15 days, as part of this tour, we spent 3 days in Tura.
    As part of this journey we explored many tourist destinations and also got chance to explore local food in Garo hills.

      God has given a special talent to our forefathers . There was a time some of them they study with the moon shine outside for there matriculation exams. When thr was no current /Power exist in village. And those forefathers who attend class 9 and 10 are very good in English to write and to speak. Proud to our forefathers and request our Ministers to help them !🙏

    Excellent travelogue! You're genuinely a great host! The people who hosted you also did a great job! As a local, I'd say you did justice in showing the true colours of hospitality and simplicity of the place. Perhaps this is the reason why it's difficult for us to adapt to harsh environments outside our hometowns in other parts of India

    I am from the UK and follow and subscribe to your channel. Thank you for the super detailed information you share which a lot of bloggers leave out and this, of course, is so valuable for research which is important to a traveler.     it is such an informative video, I always enjoy Harish Sir's vlog, the way he communicates with people, its really a treat to watch, I am from Assam, currently, I am in Europe for 3 years now. This video brought tears to my eyes, after 70 years of independence, these people are deprived of some basic facilities, healthcare, education, electricity, water etc., its really very sad

      In Meghalaya all are matrilinial society most of khasis, bhois, jaiñtias and garos..in which girls should not go to boys house, but boys should go to girls house.

    I know this society. In 1990 I had been to meghalaya. I did a ncc track from ladmaflang to bangla border via cherapungi. It is a beautiful state of beautiful people. I still remember adventure I had over there. Miss you meghalaya.

    All North East India States follow same rules from ancient times. My grandfather times this custom common they should prove their eligibility as a groom if fails they rejected or used as a servant. My grandfather also came to my grandmother house as customs. We stay with my grandmother she is younger in her siblings and her property. But my father times and our generation all are changes. I'm from Chandi Thakur Para, Sephaijala District, Tripura.

    I'm from shillong and meet many garo and khasi ppl in day to day life... I noticed that many khasis and garos have some facial and cultural similarities... Even tho garos are Tibet-Burman and khasis are monkhmer... They still have many similarities both culturally and facially...

    Amazing sir.i just amaze about you r trip for Garo hills.i hope you really enjoyed but there may be lot of difficulties because of communication and transportation are very lacking till today.infact you didn't fill any disgusting about my tribe and traditional food which you never expect to have all this.but I'm very happy to watch your channel and still waiting for you sir.😄

    We also once visited that place Called 'Sadolpara'. And Its really Mesmerizing! And I think That's the only place where 'Songsarek' Still exist
