I don't know why people hype a lot the kissing booth or any Noah Centineo movie. This movie deserves so much recognition, I guess people is just ignorant.
I agree so much. I watched those movies some time ago and they were so boring and cliche. But man, this one really hurt my heart. I had to watch this twice because it was just so breathtakingly beautiful and so real, not like any other movies I've seen. I wish people would appreciate this movie more.
unfortunately it’s all preference and a lot of the fact that a lot of people do not bother to watch foreign films, which is unfortunate as world cinema has paved the way for so many fantastic films in the past as well as now. their loss if they choose to watch mindless and thoughtless films which romanticize untruthful povs of “teenage” romance but hey, to each their own
Their happiest moments were adorable, but when life kicked in, and they had no choice to grow through separation -that was the most bittersweet thing. Must be one of the most realistic movies I have ever watched.
Potato TH-cam True. People who believe love is supposed to be nothing but pure fun and happiness should watch this for a reality check, because this is what happens in real life. Sometimes love is enough, but not for others. In this case, it wasn't. This movie burned a deep hole and I'll never forget it. ❤️
Yumikuo Kuku Exactly, I also recommend 500 days of summer, it has the same theme and cuts really deep into your heart, and that movie also made me realize something important in my life. I recommend you should watch it!
Hi!!! So I'm a teen and don't really like real life genre that much 😅, but I'm seriously sick of romance genre because it's just soooo unreal, once it was my favorite but I guss I grew out of it. Can someone you tell me about this move?!! Is it good?!!!! Because it just feels tooo real, do you recommend it?!!!
The changed for each other. At the beginning, Jian wanted to be happy and find true love, whilst the xiao-xiao was materialist and wanted love to gain property. By the end though, the two characters had changed for each other; he became more materialistic whilst she valued love and joy! They thought that’s what each other wanted

This movie was incredibly bittersweet. So well done. It felt very realistic and not like some crazy never-going-to-happen romance film you usually see. I'm not even sure if I'd call it a romance after watching it. Finishing it at 1 AM, I cried, especially at the end of the credits when Lin Jianqing is talking to his father. So powerful. I want to show this film to others, but I'm not going to show them this trailer, for it gives too much away I feel. This movie is better seen with absolutely no information about it, like how I saw it; I found it on Netflix at random and instantly watched it without even reading the Netflix information. What a damn good film. I will definitely watch again.
I loved your review, this is exactly how a felt after watched it. I wanted to recommend it to all my friends, and I did it, but I don't know why people is so prejudiced with content outside hollywood, especially asian content.
I just ran across it on Netflix. It might be my favorite film of 2018. Devastatingly emotional. DO NOT MISS THE END CREDITS... There is a beautiful sequence of powerful closure during the credits that really ties all the emotions together. It is easy to miss after the fade to black.
this is a soul-crushing and also heartbreaking movie. This also describes parent's feeling when their kids are away from home especially on traditional day Lunar New Year. Time flies but the love that they used to have is still some how exist inside them. The characters do really reflected how teenagers nowaday are trying their best to find their own path in life and struggle to be who they want to be between love and family.Brilliant and touching movie!
2017: Guy: We finally have everything. Girl: But we don't have each other. I cried so hard after hearing these lines. Such a heartbreaking story. #reality P.S. - Jing Boran is 👌.
"We have everything in the end." "Just not each other" The feels. Movie was beautiful. It's too bittersweet, too real. It almost had me hyperventilating towards the end and left me upset at the end. So I'm not gonna watch it again lol
This movie shows that life doesn't always go as we'd like it to go, time flies, situations change but the love that people felt for each other at some point in their lives, lives on with them forever, hidden somewhere in the heart in the form of bittersweet memories. You want them to be your reality but can do absolutely nothing about it, the only thing that you can do is think back and review how would your reality be if you made different choices back then!
I realised that everything happens for a reason after watching this movie. Maybe if she didn't leave him, he wouldn't get his shit together. The way he changes just before and after the breakup really affect the relationship.
Nursya Hariri Yes. He is doing a job he does not really want because we needs to provide for them. However when she left, he now have the time to do whatever he likes even it means a low income but something he really likes.
This movie is literally a mirror of my life. sadly that we can not go back of time, regret of what happened in the past, but that made who we are today.
As per the lyrics of the sound track goes "there is a kind of sadness that even tears won't flow..." That is exactly how I felt while watching this movie. I almost always cry even for the smallest emotional scenes in a movie but I was surprised when I only cried once for this... I'm trying to find an explanation as to why but I only found the answer when the song was played during the last scene and this lyric came on screen. I won't spoil anything but I just wanna say... this movie is not just a love story but a story of broken dreams, crushed hope, finding a purpose, and living a life for yourself not for anyone. I hope you guys watch this I promise you won't regret it.
Ohmygod I relate to this so much! I just watched it, and like you, I only cried once at the end even though I’m the type of person who cries at everything hahaha. What a brilliant movie
“We have everything in the end, just not each other.” And I think that’s okay, really. As much as they wanted to make it work, it just couldn’t work. And that’s life sometimes. A lot of times, actually. No matter how much we want something or want something to work, it still doesn’t work out that way plenty; and yes it breaks our heart but the beauty is if you keep going, you will find love again, you will find better times. You will make it through the heartache, the pain, the questioning “why?” to the other side, of acceptance. Learn to look back on these times as a beautiful memory and be thankful. Many people never got a chance to experience it, and just because it didn’t work out the way you thought or wanted it to, doesn’t make it any less beautiful. Love has many forms. Sometimes it’s a flower that blossoms, blooms and withers. It lasts for a short while, but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful. Plastic flowers are forever but they are fake. Which would you rather have? Love has many forms. Some are like a tree, that grows stronger and more beautiful with age. It’s all love, just different forms.
Here is my take about why their relationship did not work: When these two were together, gradually their relationship put a huge pressure on that boy, now he was with the girl he truly loved, so he cannot live the way used to be, he now must be successful, he must made big , so that his girl would have a good life, on the other hand, the girl was a more romantic ones, with the boy she truly loved, she did not really care about the money, she just wanted two be together and be happy. This difference gradually put strain on their relationship, from the boy's perspective "I am working so hard to give us a better future, why don't you show me a little understanding and a little bit of appreciation? I cannot make any headway on my work,it is so frustrating, why can you show me some support?" and from the girl's perspective "I am not choose you for money or apartment, why can you understand this? we used to be so happy, why are you so depressing now, is it not enough for you by just being with me? Is getting rich more important than our relationship"? Neither side did anything really wrong, but their difference eventually pull them away from each other, and they broke up as the result.
Indeed, I would also add that he is the only one (we know of) that she didn't date for money, because he is the special true love. Thus when he finally did "make it" and he feel she owes him, disgusted her. This is why they didn't make it up during the final trip home.
I feel evey words you're saying... Oh man, the feels As a man, we all feel and carry that pressure. That we should provide our loved one with the best. And before we can realized the ugly truth, we lost what we cherished the most.
This movie makes you feel depressed just my the filmography and the filter they used it's all depressing however, it's the best Chinese movie I've ever seen. Actors were amazing and the storyline is raw and touches your heart. I watched it at 5 am and I was quite blown away by it. This is the type of movie you watch when you're going through a break up. Not all love lasts.
Jamie Mejia hi! I watched the movie thanks for recommending it! It was amazing!! This girl is truly an amazing actor and the movie itself was amazing. But the ending left me kinda confused. What happened to them? Can you explain pls?
@@Riya55618 sorry for the late reply, well remember when he said to her " You protect the world and i'll protect you" i think that is the continuation of that promise. Its the simpler way to put it. But i dont know that's just my opinion. I'm glad you liked it.
never in my life have i watched a movie that messed me up this much. it's been a year since i watched it and i still can't look at stills without tearing up. this is truly a classic and should be on everyone's melodrama recommendation lists
This movie makes you reflect. Movie is relatable ; How people would change over the years and it’s really not easy being with someone forever. A beautiful story about unconditional love, family and hope.
The girl here has another movie called “Better Days”, and I really love her acting and her chemistry with the lead actor. Will definitely watch this movie too today.
this movie was so painful. it didnt have any deaths, anything like that involving trauma or anything. it was just heartbreaking. the car scene where they started crying choked my throat. he said his world would be colourless without her and it became like that. i loved this movie
It's not sugar-coated, and I loved it for that. I am in a completely different part of the world from the protagonists, but the description of all the relationships is so authentic that I can put myself in their shoes easily. This was definitely a worthwhile cry.
Discover this movie and the actress after watching ‘Better Days’ and in my preference, this movie hits harder and probably might be one of the best movies I ever watched. Everything so perfectly written and portrayed. I love how realistically the movie is all about. And I think, the director chose the perfect actor and actress for this film, no one can delivered the same feeling like what they had been given to us. I bawled my eyes and my heart hurts after watching the movie. All the flashbacks just live rent free inside my head and I can’t forget how this movie made me feels. The line when they said; “we have everything at the end” “just not each other” really tear me up. How they goes from a comfort to each other, to almost like a stranger 😭😭 Please watch this movie and experience the feelings of a rollercoaster ride. If you still wondering if it’s good or not, then let me throw you a fact; this movie achieved box offices with total gross more than 200million us dollar and the ost achieved 2millions views after 2minutes being released (titled; Us - Eason Chan). The song and the lyrics is so freakin’ good and heartbreaking. This movie live up to its reputation and truly a masterpiece!
This broke my heart. Beautiful yet tragic. The last minutes of the movie, I teared up. I found myself mourning and longing for the love that I never heard. As sad as this may sound, I truly belive that some people, never quite get/ keep the love they so wish/know they deserve. Despite their very best efforts. I am one of those. My first Chinese movie. Thank you
Amazingly heartbreaking! Lessons learned: Don’t wait until its too late to say “I’m sorry” and “I love you”. I love happy endings! But this is more realistic and I love it! Cried myself to sleep.
I am torn. Part of me is glad I watched this beautiful written, directed, and acted movie. Another small part of me regrets watching it because it left a painful mark on my heart. I cannot detach myself by saying it’s just fiction - it felt too real!! :(
Im just going to say THIS.... Im a Greek dude. And I am going to admit that this rare chinese film blew me away. Im actually going to publicly confess that THIS FILM is probably my favourite film ever. A greek bro confessing his love for a film made in China??? Never thought Id say this...but YES. This has gotta be my most favourite movie Ive seen. AMENNNNN
@@sakshiiii1270 because I am "greek" and I have not met or spoken to "anyone" who is Greek who has watched a "chinese movie".... whilst i kindly ask you drop your attitude, can i also ask you, what is your point , bro??
Oh gosh where do I even begin. I’ve never been as affected by a movie as this one. It is raw and emotional and really challenges the viewer to tell someone you love them before it’s too late. What I love about this movie is it’s real it’s not sugarcoated and happily ever after its real and it’s heartbreaking and you will be left in tears. I am absolutely in love with this movie and it’s message and it has changed my outlook on love between people forever. If you are reading this tell the person you love how you feel because one day you won’t be able to anymore and you will realize how stupid it was for you to be too afraid.
This movie is so bittersweet and it made me cryyyyyy soooo much. I love everything about it. Sometimes we just need to open our eyes and see how much happy we already are with just being home and the love that surrounds us. I just can't stop thinking about the events that happened in this movie. Deserves a 10/10 still.
Marc Jacobs I think maybe because he changed too much. He became rich and kind of stubborn and all he cared was to give her material things because now he can with all of his money. However, the girl also changed, she didnt care about money, being rich, all she wanted was to be with him having nothing like how she was so happy when they were at the small old place they lived in. Also, cause the guy is already married 😂
I just finished this movie. Cinematography is beautiful and the actors were fasted very well. I think a lot of us will be able to relate to the paper chase, and trying to 'make it' in the big city - to be wealthy, to own an apartment, to have a partner. I really enjoyed this movie, especially for its heartbreaking and bittersweet parts. Chinese friends, the added context of CNY celebrations will make you laugh and sob.
The artists were so relatable. The plot was believable and the end was so well balanced. Their maturity juxtaposed with their immaturity was such a brilliant cue of the passing time. This story deserves to be among the best examples of modern romance! It deserves every award and accolade available on planet Earth.
this movie is so emotionally raw, real and hit close to home... people always wish to have a good life and will always have to endure the regrets to live by, this is so sad yet growing up kinda story.
Their lines striked me the most! I remember the part when she said happily when they're in the couch "I wish time stop right now." Then back to black and white when they just have straight faces and no longer are together. :( and also when they're in the car, and she said "the past looks just right in front of us". This movie hits me because of the challenges they had together but you can't do anything if you're really not meant to be, you dont know where fate will lead you.
It feels kind of like one of my favorite romantic tragedy films, Blue Valentine. The difference being that in Blue Valentine, they gave it a try and it still ended in utter misery; sometimes it's just hard to find that perfect someone and build something that lasts, the stars need to align.
[spoiler alert] i've just finished watching this movie. what a rollercoaster! i loved every second of it, but i also cried during every second of it. It makes you realize how important the other person can be for your destiny. I always love realistic movies because you can identify yourself in them. Actually i've never loved someone before and never been in a relationship, so i never felt what love brings to life: joy, sadness, anger... But i've seen my parents' story in them, they loved each other but somehow they ended it up loosing each other. I've also seen my grandparents in Jianqing's father, they way they knew that something was off between their sons, the lonely holidays...This movie is so bittersweet. I really liked the ending, they weren't meant to stay together forever but just to influence their lives and make them who they are now. Like my parents, i know that they weren't meant to live for each other for the rest of their lives but their love gave birth to me and my brother. I hope to be Xiaoxiao for someone one day, to affect their live and help them to be who they wanna be, to be their reason why. We might not have an happy ending but the memory of what we have been through together will keep us close forever. But i do still hopinh for the happy ending. Good luck to find your Jianqing/Xiaoxiao, whoever you are reading my comment.
i just watched this and i usually can't watch chinese movies and dramas (i'm chinese) because a lot of the time the romantic stuff has bad acting and bad writing. but let me tell you this was phenomenal and i almost regret watching it because i feel like it has changed the way i see love. it's so powerful and the actors are amazing!! please watch this !!
Great to listen such reviews from a Native. As We being foreigners generally watch everything that pass by our sight due to excitement without bothering any quality content.
I watched too last week & It was fantastic. Every piece held with bitter & Hard reality of Life. I would love to see more Chinese quality content like this. Can you help me in some suggestions? I'll be Really Thankful😊
This beautiful movie showed up on my newsfeed and I watched it and then I passed it on to my brother and the message was cleared , don’t waited till it’s too late to tell your parents that you loved them , or anyone that took their time to be with you to say I love you , no matter what , reach out and let them know how precious they are to you , I cried my heart out , ❤️
Can anyone come up with the very first piano music at the beginning of this trailer? Searched everywhere... desperate. Shazam does nothing. $5,000 reward offered for correct answer.
Wow. Just finished this gem. Like someone else here said, it's soul-crushing good. The ending is such a bittersweet experience that you'll just sit there dumbfounded for a few minutes, trying to feel your way back to real life. That was amazing.
highly recommend watching this film as a Chinese film graduate. Its a beautiful film about the coming of age in China on a societal level. It shows the power of courage and the need to take the leap as demonstrated symbolically when the female protagonsts leaves and the male protagonist doesn't jump on board. Its a really beautiful film that I could write about forever. It's sad to me that people wouldn't take the chance at true love no matter the circumstances...
This is cinema. Pure wholesome and a piece of art. Seen this two times now. Keep your chocolate next to you so that you can bite on them feel good while those tears roll down.
this movie was so good. I watched it yesterday and it felt so real... It could literally be the story of my life, well at least a part of my life. One of the things that made understand this movie is that there is always a chance to move on, even after years and years. But yeah, I cried a lot, but it is such a well - made and poetic movie.

Got the recommendation last night, just an hour before the new years. I spent it alone, watching this. So incredibly beautiful but heart wrenching at the same time. Thank you TH-cam. Hope everyone has an amazing year 2020
This film is mind blowing. It took my breath away and half of the film I was crying and then after the film I also cried because I was completely immersed in the story. Highly recommended
I normally don't like watching Chinese love stories, but this is one of the finest love story I've watched in my entire life. It's practical and that's what make it more closer to my heart.
This movie is beautiful in the most realistic sense possible...it brings out how mistakes we make in life make us better people in the end..and "even if they didn't make it as a couple, they became family"-this line is too beautiful.
Movie pulled a lot of heart strings, very bittersweet and sad how things turned out. Both didn’t seem happy, but accepted how things turned out. I’m glad the directors allowed us to see their future self and how they felt, and gave us and them closure. Very will directed film, highly recommend
This film made my sister weep like a mad man at the end with the Father scene. I had tears too, but it hit her real hard. Her first love also didn’t work out after 10 years. After so many years, I will watch it again. The bittersweetness. Just 😢
Excellent movie! I was really depressed about what happened at the end, kudos to the filmmaker and crews for this movie! It really shows that time flies and how people change!
Ms. Zhou Dongyu is a beautiful, petite, versatile, talented, and gifted actress and artist. “Us and Them” was an engaging, captivating, and heartfelt movie. The collaboration between Ms. Zhou Dongyu and Mr. Jing Bo Ran was realistic, perfect chemistry, powerful, and deeply moving. Their performances were outstanding, excellent, superb, and brilliant. The entire cast was excellent. The soundtrack was melodious. Thank you, Ms. Zhou Dongyu and Mr. Jing Bo Ran for your hard work, dedication, and natural, exceptional acting skills. My family will always follow, support, and pray for “you.” 👏💫✨⭐️🌟🥇🏆😊🤩💛👏
Just finished watching the movie. At first I didn’t like how the present scenes were showed through black and white effect, but then I remembered what he said to her when she asked him ‘what if the boy could never find the girl?’ to which he responds ‘if Ian could never find Kelly, then the world will be colorless.’ Towards the ending we can finally see colors, indicating that the main guy finally finds the girl. He eventually figures out himself and what the girl truly wanted. 🖤🤍
No movie has ever made me cry this much :( I’m used to getting movies with happy endings, except this movie didn’t have one. It felt so realistic. I was not content with the ending, yet in a way it felt right because there’s always going to be misfortunes in the world, you just have to learn from them to grow as a person.
This movie was amazing. So heartbreaking but so incredibly beautiful and real. I bawled my eyes out to be honest. I absolutely loved the lead characters, their stories, and the story of family is there as well. It's a movie we all can relate to and feel for. Highly recommend to all.
oMg so happy to see everyone sharing their feels for this movie🥺🥺 im shock even with subs you guys understand it so well!! I watched in mandarin, twice, to really understand it and feel the feels!!😔✊🏻 love that netflix is introducing this to a bigger audience!!
The reality in this movie broke me more. "We have everything in the end." "Just not each other" Make sure to keep tissues near by, I bawled my eyes and heart out especially at last his father's letter scene.. my soul hurts. The raw truth of life in this movie is so realistic
This is my favorite Chinese movie ever. Thanks for this. And to everyone who are planning to watch this or already watched this, watch this movie until the end even when Chinese words started to roll up. It has amazing end credit scene.
Never get tired of watching this film Zhou Donghu has been my most favourite Chinese actress, from the first time I watched her. I have followed as many of her films as possible, which isn't always easy to find in my country. This film was the first time I got to watch Jing Boran, they both portrayed their characters so well, but I believe that's just how it is for any lead male actor who has Zhou as their leading lady. Just my personal thought anyway. A very sad but real film where I'm sure many of us can relate, and totally understand the reasons behind the ending. May all those who have walked away from that special someone who made their lives better from having met them, be happy always in your new future 💞
Best movie ever! The movie itself is so beautiful, have a lot of life lessons, and of course the main leads have so much chemistry. I watched this movie over and over again, but still crying and feel so much pain. Thank you for making this movie. I will never forget this movie for a long time.
This was not just a movie, it was Art it showed the reality and what’s the real meaning of love all I can say is my heart still hurts when I see this movie and I cried way too much like way too much in this movie
going back to this trailer bec. i have finished watching it like minutes ago and i gotta say, this is one of the best movies i've watched this year!! (so far) and for sure it's now one of my favorite movies of all time ❤️💔 i fell in love and got my heart broken at once.
That was such a good movie. The story is so beautiful yet so real. You feel every emotion they are trying to tell. The character evolutions were so well portrayed. Everything about this movie, a to z, just so well made. Also the cinamotography just feels like home. I loved it so much.
I am taking a class at College about China. I loved this movie! So well made! It touched me deeply and made me cry. Definitely worth the English subtitles. Something I don't normally do. Big Thumbs up!
12 minutes till the end, I kept waiting for them to rekindle their love and for him to divorce his wife....6 min and still nothing.... Then the credits roll... I'M DYING
Literally just finished this movie.I was crying half of the movie and I am not ashame of it. BEST movie, realistic ending, the actors are awesome, what can I say but this 10/10. I am in love with this movie. ( Ian and Kelly - to those who watched it will get this) . WATCH IT Everyone.
Sometime people didn't value the person and go away and after long time they realize that life would be more beautiful when we are surrounded by the people who love us ,care for us . And realization always take time . Personally I love this trailer . I would definitely watch this movie. And everyone can relate this movie to their life . 😊✌️
This story broke my heart. It offers a beautiful window into this young couples friendship turned love relationship. The struggles, hardships, failures, hope are intertwined throughout the movie. Their love for each other remained but their paths were so different that they lost themselves in the struggle to survive.
The scene in car when them both crying while talking and his father's letter to her just wreck my tear dam. In the end, both of them still long for each other but they know they can't be together like they used to be, them both have a life going on after they broke up.
this movie is 2 hours long, i cried for 1.30 hours. my heart and my eyes hurt.

and when I thought the movie finished, after the song ending. i cried again for the son´s letter T.T

The characters do really reflected how teenagers nowaday are trying their best to find their own path in life and struggle to be who they want to be between love and family.Brilliant and touching movie!
2017:
Guy: We finally have everything.
Girl: But we don't have each other.
I cried so hard after hearing these lines. Such a heartbreaking story. #reality
P.S. - Jing Boran is 👌.
we have all been through this, once in a while
I'm still crying ... That movie was heartbreaking
I'm studying abroad and this movie makes me think of my parents, I cried so hard. Very touching!
Lailai Jordan I don't understand though. How is the girl doing now? Does she have everything? Or is she still struggling
"We have everything in the end."
"Just not each other"
The feels.
Movie was beautiful. It's too bittersweet, too real. It almost had me hyperventilating towards the end and left me upset at the end. So I'm not gonna watch it again lol

judging by your comment I don't think it's a happy ending but did they end up together? I don't mind spoilers.
*SPOILERS*
You'd be correct. They don't end up together. They go their seperate ways :(
Dreams & Teddy Bears thank you. Appreciate the help.
@@1rismono Oh my pleasure :D. If you can call it help :D
This movie shows that life doesn't always go as we'd like it to go, time flies, situations change but the love that people felt for each other at some point in their lives, lives on with them forever, hidden somewhere in the heart in the form of bittersweet memories. You want them to be your reality but can do absolutely nothing about it, the only thing that you can do is think back and review how would your reality be if you made different choices back then!
i'll do anything to watch this film again for the first time!! what an experience
right!!!!!
The most appropriate comment 👍🏾
Yes, but I can't watch 2nd time, my heart.
just finished it a while ago T^T
I realised that everything happens for a reason after watching this movie. Maybe if she didn't leave him, he wouldn't get his shit together. The way he changes just before and after the breakup really affect the relationship.
Nursya Hariri Yes. He is doing a job he does not really want because we needs to provide for them. However when she left, he now have the time to do whatever he likes even it means a low income but something he really likes.
bruh could u have put a spoiler warning like ok.......
This movie is literally a mirror of my life. sadly that we can not go back of time, regret of what happened in the past, but that made who we are today.
omg what happened?:(
@@alifiahanifa9575 Judging by the shape of his head, Chernobyl....I'm just kidding. I love you, Bob Yu! Find your peace.
HANGSANG WITH MA DAWG what is the name of the song?

Well said. :)
Beautiful comment. Definitely gonna watch this movie now.
Beautifully said 👍
Here is my take about why their relationship did not work: When these two were together, gradually their relationship put a huge pressure on that boy, now he was with the girl he truly loved, so he cannot live the way used to be, he now must be successful, he must made big , so that his girl would have a good life, on the other hand, the girl was a more romantic ones, with the boy she truly loved, she did not really care about the money, she just wanted two be together and be happy.
+Xian Wang exactly... she told him money doesn't matter we are enough for each other
sadest part is that she is still miserable and alone
oh my god you made a good resume
I feel evey words you're saying...
Oh man, the feels
As a man, we all feel and carry that pressure.
I recommend you to watch Better days she is the lead actress there also. And its such a wonderful movie

I just finished UNDER THE HAWTHORN TREE. Must watch
zhou dongyu is an amazing actress!! i love her filmography so much
this movie was so painful. it didnt have any deaths, anything like that involving trauma or anything. it was just heartbreaking. the car scene where they started crying choked my throat. he said his world would be colourless without her and it became like that. i loved this movie
its rather traumatizing, watching the whole movie felt like a breakup thats about to happen
I’m an still sobbing and depressed of this film💔💔🤧😭
Thank you netflix for letting me experience this film. It was amazing.
milgo sharif sad ending isit?
93luvxoxo yes a sad ending
UGHHH SAME HEREEEE
It's not sugar-coated, and I loved it for that. I am in a completely different part of the world from the protagonists, but the description of all the relationships is so authentic that I can put myself in their shoes easily. This was definitely a worthwhile cry.
Cried like a freaking baby, haven’t cried like this in a long time. Thank you Netflix.
How they goes from a comfort to each other, to almost like a stranger 😭😭
Please watch this movie and experience the feelings of a rollercoaster ride.
10/10..why is this so underrated?? this is one of the best film if not this year..of all time
Not underrated. In fact, this film successfully achieved box office over 200 millions since it’s airing.
One of the most powerful movies I’ve watch. So real and heartbreaking. I did cry some manly tears wathching this masterpiece. 11/10!
i cry and wachted again and cried more then first time
This broke my heart.
AMENNNNN
Whats so special about being " a greek dude" and liking a film "made in China? "

@@petroszakhariadis8623 ikr the film is so appealing that yk it can go beyond language barriers!! i'm filipino and i absolutely love this movie
LJ Pacheco can you explain to me why she didn't want to get back to him
Marc Jacobs I think maybe because he changed too much.
This movie deserved an award. It really pulled at the heartstrings and was a very realistic depiction of a relationship
I just watched the movie & had to come read the trailer’s comments just to make sure I’m not the only one crying my heart out. 😪
It feels kind of like one of my favorite romantic tragedy films, Blue Valentine. The difference being that in Blue Valentine, they gave it a try and it still ended in utter misery; sometimes it's just hard to find that perfect someone and build something that lasts, the stars need to align.
[spoiler alert]
i've just finished watching this movie. what a rollercoaster! i loved every second of it, but i also cried during every second of it.

No one knows. Cuz the music is their original soundtrack and not publish it yet. :(
The music is the background is painfully beautiful and so is the movie...
highly recommend watching this film as a Chinese film graduate.

“We have everything at the end, just not each other”
I normally don't like watching Chinese love stories, but this is one of the finest love story I've watched in my entire life.

True no movie ever make me cry but this one make me cry like a baby
This film made my sister weep like a mad man at the end with the Father scene. I had tears too, but it hit her real hard. Her first love also didn’t work out after 10 years. After so many years, I will watch it again. The bittersweetness. Just 😢

No movie has ever made me cry this much :(
I’m used to getting movies with happy endings, except this movie didn’t have one. It felt so realistic. I was not content with the ending, yet in a way it felt right because there’s always going to be misfortunes in the world, you just have to learn from them to grow as a person.
This looks amazing, but I'm for sure not going to watch it. My heart is hurting just from the trailer. Nope

I just love movies like this showing you the raw realities of ...life of love of being . This movie was amazing the music , the characters

This story broke my heart. It offers a beautiful window into this young couples friendship turned love relationship. The struggles, hardships, failures, hope are intertwined throughout the movie. Their love for each other remained but their paths were so different that they lost themselves in the struggle to survive.
