I'd love to see a write-up from you on the technical differences between your instrument and the tárogató. I'm surprised at the rich sound from an instrument so much smaller. I love your musicianship and taste in performance.
Incidentally, there are many differences compared to the Tárogató. The saxillophone is tuned in C and the construction is much simpler. There are only 8 keys. It is much smaller and the decisive factor for me is that it really has a different sound. I think the tárogató is very close to the soprano saxophone, but the saxillophone sounds quieter and softer. The idea is to make a good, small wooden instrument for saxophonists, for the pocket to take along. Quiet enough to jam with guitarists or hang drum players, but still a really nice instrument and not a toy. But I love the Tárogató too!
Thank you for your comment! Unfortunately, at the moment it is not yet possible for me to have the keyed saxillo produced in series. It's all handmade and quite expensive. Please continue to follow this channel. When the time comes, you'll find out here.
