I ❤ a baritone Orfeo
@XDranzer000 even so, if I recall correctly the top note still only is an F (so if you play it in 465Hz, equivalent to a modern F#). It makes it high and tiring for a baritone but doesn't necessarily require a true tenor... It's really one of those roles that can be sung by both
Viva l'Italia!
Jesus, that was terrific!! OMG!
I'd love to have the entire video recording of this! So good!!!!
Ooooh yes! I am so with you there!
OMG fantastic singing and for once a watchable production!
agree on the singing but there are quite a number of good productions of L'Orfeo.
Fantastic! Thanks so much.
Quando ouço esta musica do Orfeo eu sinto meu coração sendo cortado em vários pedaços, empanado com farinha e frito. Ela é "Evidencias" da Ópera
Gorgeous 💥🤗🙃👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💐
Fabulous :-)
Eine Sternstunde!
Ok, but why y'all rushing???? Cornetti, Harp, Orceo..... This is THE most magical thing ever composed.... This is THE time the demi god of song is allowed to plead his case.
This is a good rendition, but I've been transported by magic more potent by our renditions here in Toronto from 1989 through to Dan Belcher/Tafelmusik's sublime rendition for Opera Atelier in the early 2000s.
Don't rush!!! Give the performers time to express and the audience time to wonder. Nothing before or since comes close, harmonically or melodically. This is truly holy music: give it time to speak as we did in Toronto so many years ago.
I love that natural trumpet!
Герхайер великолепен!
my professor is making me watch this😭😭
did u tell them thank u or what
Is this available on DVD?
Hi! I'm a music lecturer from Korea. This video clip is so good! I'd like to use this video clip when I lecture in TH-cam. Could I use it? When I use this video clip, I'll notify your Channel name 'BayerischeStaatsoper' on my lecture in TH-cam
Do I hear an archlute in the accompaniment? Lovely.
Chi mi può dire gli strumenti usati all’entrata del brano? Grazie (intendo la sequenza degli strumenti)
Is that Euridice? At the very end of the video?
