This is dakshiNa-bhArateeya music sung with a confident MalayaaLi idiomatic distinctiveness! I have no expertise, but I am not sure whether our Tamil/Kannada/Telugu neighbors can sing like this without even a hint of Veera-rasam, etc. This is pure KaruNa rasam and Santam in the MalayALi style. Experts might find that the singer is using sOpaAna type of gamaka-s EXCLUSIVELY, perhaps.
