It is just that the planets seems to walk backwards, but they walk forward. For the eyes it feels that they walk backwards because they become slower than normal. You just put re- for the significations of the planet that is retrograde and you will know what effect they have. You better have Retrograde planets. They are powerful. Except Rahu and Ketu.
