    It’s interesting how you mentioned rice. I’m not necessarily a moon person but my family eats rice every single day lmao. It used to be that I had a phobia when I was little that I could really only eat rice and a couple of other foods & my family accommodated. Ever since then, it’s been difficult to divorce from it even though I’ve expanded my pallet & gotten over the phobia. Must mean I’m a Moon person eh?

Fellow astrologer here...With all due respect to your work and understanding of your chart, I'd humbly suggest that your Sun/Mars conjunction has far more to do with any 'manners' or abrasive or sharp quality than the moon in whole sign house 6th. I have a Mercury/Saturn opposition (Mercury in H1) with a similar setup (Gemini Moon/Mars conjunction trine Sun) and have to be careful in the current era with my use of words. I think we would have had a much easier time in a different generation with those aspects with Mars and masculinity not on the back foot as it is. Very much appreciate your sharp insights though on planetary significations. Though I've been working with astrology for about 2 decades, you offered some new (for me) perspectives. Ty

    The reason why there are, "no famous women in history" is because of the samskāra of western imperialism and its subsidiary patriarchy, which systematically teaches people to oppress themselves and others. There are plenty of women who are extroversive and individualistic who could and have accomplished amazing things, only to be pushed down or aside by force. I feel sad that the Moon is assigned as the reason for this here. Your teachings are deep and profound, and I appreciate your work so much. I love that you are demystifying the teachings and sharing the roots of the texts with us. Your teaching truly has a decolonial flavour for me which is why I am so enamored with what you share. Also, when you choose not to name systems of harm, I find it distracting. If I had to assign a lack of extroversion or individualism in women to a planet, I would assign it to the effects of the samskāra of western imperialism delivered through a very unhappy and uncontrolled Mars. Women are socialized by a society of enforcement to be introverted, and they are punished if they attempt anything different. As you eluded to, Mars is an immature and powerful extrovert; this is what women are up against (both from within themselves and from those outside of them). I do not contest that someone's natural inclination may be introversive or towards care for the group before care for themselves, however the exaggeration of this trait in today's society (and the reason for the quoted misogynistic comment in the first place) is not because they are more deeply connected with the Moon; it is the karmaphala of western imperialism. When accurately re-framed, we can see (a) that this is harmful and needs to be addressed, and (b) where the source of the harm lies. Re-framing it this way also doesn't inherently blame the oppressed for their oppression.

      even in other cultures women are less vocal, less outgoing. it is all encapsulated by the physical nature of the primary sexual organs (men go out, women go in). I do wholeheartedly agree with you that the world is a disgusting soup of mysogyny, but this doesnt mean that women are intrinsically extroversive or assertive.

    I wonder if the changing quality of moon plays a factor in beauty and happiness by offering diversity and the possibility to create the desirable vs non desirable?
    Keerti made me think of keratin, a popular beauty product ingredient. Is that the word you mentioned?

      I am honestly really curious to know astrology and beauty, modern day standards and traditional standards of beauty. Back in the day, if moon was a luxury item, much kings and sultans seeked white women and many paintings of the most famous consorts were all white women with pale skin and a fuller figure than what would be remotely considered beautiful today. Even white people tried to become more "fair." Kapha element today though has a propensity toward weight gain and or even at a normal state is still considered too full-figured by today's standards. This in my opinion is the case for both venus and the moon. I mean around 70 percent of the USA is overweight or obese so the ones with moon as an atmakaraka or moon in the first house are not going to be in luck.
      I wonder when these standards did a 180. Now the beauty standards are slender, wilowy, chisled face, high cheek bones, bronzed. I wonder if it's due to the fact that much of our modern world is based off of utility and intellectualism. A woman with lush curves that isn't hardened by mars/saturn(fit) looks too vulgar (venus ? ) to the eyes in certain clothes and a woman too pale and innocent looking look too fragile to cope with the demands of the fast, modern life. (women of colour with moon in asc also tend to have the same wide-eyed damsel look even if moon represents fairer races)
      His recommendation of rice is interesting as it is a carb and will make one bloated but will keep one nourished. I have venus, mars, jupiter, and moon in the first. I've worked my ass off to not be overweight. When I tried to add more protein to my diet, and started weightlifting, I started gaining acne while I typically have clear skin, and nice complexion (I wonder if that's due to adding more of the fire element activities and foods to my routine and increased levels of testosterone). I remember when saturn transited to my first house, I had an eating disorder, my hair was thinning and I had dark circles around my eyes that I covered with makeup..
      But I think it would be interesting for Vicdicara to do a video on increasing a certain element in the body, and appearances of the elements, or dosha types.

    Idk why but I'm stuck on word RTI, which seems to be part of KEERTI too.
    I'd say moon fame is what mothers would like, sun fame is what fathers would like.
    Like someone being attentive, caring, reflective, communicative, and skillful in human conditions would be a moon-fame. Everyone welcomes you in a get-together, you are famous that way.
    Whereas someone winning a 100m sprint would be a sun-fame. One shines by having some one of value, which emits the light.
    Moon fame should be coy too, I guess, as it only shines when everyone's sleeping. It's sort of latent and lends on relations. One feels it when someone reflects it.

    • @jamesrmosbeyii1122
      @jamesrmosbeyii1122 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
