Unbelievable that no one ran out there they just stood and watched and video taped. Good ol America. I always help ppl out and half the time don't even get a thank you or they will want even more and take advantage of it.
Yup. You can tell they are good friends...first he calls him dumbass(in a friend way),and than you see him cry cause he got hurt. That's real friendship.
Serious props to Polaris for stepping up to the plate and giving a racer vet a second chance. I have never owned a polaris but you have just won a customer when I do. If you treat your athletes this well, I can only imagine how well you treat your staff in creating a superior made product. This was an amazing doc.
Well done dude, I know how hard it is to find something besides racing dirtbikes. In 2014 december I also had an accident during supercross in Germany where I broke my back and put me in the wheelchair. I know what you went trough! Nice to see you found something again, I know how important this is. Goodluck on your next career!
My son raced with Jessy all through mini cycles, he was always one of the fastest kids on the track. Great kid with a great family, I would give anything for him to walk again and race mx.
Having lost my brother to complications of a broken back, I was more than happy to make donations to the cause. Glad your making things happen and living the life you want in a positive way.
Wow, this is a powerful documentary. I remember the day of your horror crash at the outdoors. I caught it on TH-cam as someone had captured it.....sort of. To see the journey you’ve been on since with the rehabilitation, life change & all the other difficulties you’ve faced & likes be right, you’ve really put in the hard work to be back to enjoying racing, even if it isn’t motocross/supercross, it’s still racing which is your passion. I’ve been watching Us supercross/motocross over here in the UK for a good 25 years & seen some bad accidents, yours didn’t look so bad but, obviously the outcome was so severe, life changing. I believe you will walk again & you will swing your leg over a motocross bike again. Impossible is nothing Jessy. Respect👍🏼
Not only is this video a testament to the human spirit and how it refuses to be broken despite being beaten down and left to die in the muck, but also the importance of having incredible people behind you, whether it's parents, friends, wives, husbands, etc when you're in the process of rebuilding yourself stronger and better than you were before! Also, here's hoping that his upcoming surgery to remove a cyst from his spine is successful and that it helps create a connection in his body to where he regains even more function 'n feeling! This young man is a bad ass and I'll always be a fan!!
I was very lucky to meet Jessy today randomly in a neighborhood I was working. I just got done watching the first road 2 recovery the same day I met him. I felt like it happened for a reason I just wish I watched this video before. Thank you Jessy for taking the 5mins to talk to me, you are an inspiration and you helped me out more then you know today.
Man, I just had neck surgery 2 1/2 months ago and I was on the rebound until I slipped off a 4 inch high stool which put me back to square one. I was so bummed out until I watched this, while the pain is intense, i'm still walking and i'm grateful for that. Jesse's attitude is inspiring and the people he has around him are genuine human beings. The sponsors could've all moved on to the next guy, but they still helped out where they could which say's a lot about their values. Thank you for the inspiration bro, and all the best for 2019.
This was the most beautifully put together film I’ve ever seen. Jessy, you are so strong, it’s amazing to see you smiling the entire time. Life tried to fuck you over but you didn’t let it. It’s amazing to see you ripping the Polaris and still doing things that you love. You’re my true inspiration and thank you for being so amazing. Much love bud.
Great film, made me cry, and I never do! I love how humble he and his family is, especially his wife! He’s a true warrior!Never quit! I hate ktm but I’m a big Nelson fan
Honestly, I don't cry a lot but I couldn't hold it back here. Sorry. Also it is so impressive how you became pro after your thumb injury, even more astonishing! I never knew that.
Man I may only be 14 but you inspire me to be more and push through and not give up... You are such an inspiration to me and my little brother to go out every weekend and still be thankful if we win or not. Thank you!
In the past year watching your journey had really made me realize that you have to take everything for granted, you are seriously my inspiration, I love you Jessy
To say you are an inspiration would be an understatement, Jessy. You are still living like there is no tomorrow. I also have to say that this video is a great reminder of how tight the moto community is. Keep it up, and good luck this season!!
Damn I just had a Enduro accident ribs, shoulders blades cracked and t4 and t5 moved lucky for me not to mutch so It doesn't have long-term effects it's 4 weeks u haven't been riding and can't wait to go back racing. After many accidents and broken stuff people can't understand I still want ride but the truth is that I feel like I am dead when I am not able to ride my life is riding the only way to be free for me. But I am verry happy for him that he find a other way to race its in your blood or not but when you have it there is only one way to be fully happy racing 🤔good luck to you man
Man..So Inspiring. I was Honored to meet Jesse a few years back at a Local fundraiser deal for him..near Home. All I could say was Never give up..and he Agreed he would not. Life has challenges for alot of people..myself included, but you gotta fight thru it. So Thank You for that reminder here. This story is so inspirational and it definitely makes you appreciate what you have. There are so many simple things that people take for granted in life. Never give up Jessy, and you will walk again!
I don't think the word "inspiring" does this enough justice. I mean...wow. You're a boss. It's also amazing to see how many people you have around you who genuinely love and appreciate you. Without a doubt, you'll be walking again.
You’re a huge inspiration to everyone! You have all the amazing things in life that most people take for granted! No doubt you'll get to where you want to go!
Great movie...a big thanks to Jessy and his family for being so candid. To all the sponsors that stuck by Jessy, that shows that they're not corporate greed mongers and the Moto community sees and remembers that. Go get that sweet life Jessy, you deserve it.
Ryan Walters, great job man. Very well produced film. Jessy, you have nothing to hold you back in life with your grounded outlook. You have some BIG support rallying around you because your a winner. This film should be shown in primary schools across the world.. Take care.
Damn I’ve never been so close to tears in my life 😥 Your story should be recognized by everyone in sports as the story of person TRULY living life to the absolute FULLEST. We’re rooting for you Jesse.
Freak accidents can happen anywhere; falling down the stairs, jumping in the pool, driving a car, ect. don't be scared of life and do what you love. Jessy you are so inspiring to everyone and we all need to give our 100% all the time! 💪🏼

I remember watching the race he was injured in, and to be honest that was the first year i was back into motocross so did not know about Jessy...im from the era of rick johnson and jeff ward...im old. So glad i clicked on this video. I remember watching the race he was injured in, and to be honest that was the first year i was back into motocross so did not know about Jessy...im from the era of rick johnson and jeff ward...im old. Anyway, last year i almost lost my thumb in a get-off doing some riding in extremely rocky terrain and will never have a thumbnail again, as it was partially amputated. I had no idea what Jessy has overcome and its a truly inspiring story. I like to think I am upbeat about my circumstance, people around me seem surprised by my optimism and my desire to keep riding. I don't know Jessy but I can say I share his attitude. I hope his nervous system continues to heal, and I have good feelings about it. After my accident and 5 months off the bike, my take away was i need to invest in programs that help people like Jessy and amputees enjoy motorsports. It's a work in progress. Kudo to Jessy, Emily and all those who stood by him. Ill have to follow his off road racing this season. Looking forward to it. Peace.
