    Awesome complation, Great job. It is definitely a bit sad to see the S stock go, But will be interesting to see what the SR stock brings to the service.

    I’m not sure if I like the new carriages that are replacing these. They look like they’re more configured for frequent stops like an urban rail system than for long intercity or commuter services like the Capital connection provides. They don’t have any overhead luggage rack and I don’t see the point of the mid-carriage doors.
    Still these old carriages are well knackered, well over 25 years of daily service and often over tracks that weren’t always in the best state of maintenance.

      I would agree with that Assumption even though I am starting to miss the old carriages. The New Carriages have seen more complaints since the first day of their service life. Even though I have never been on the Capital Connection.

    Didn't there used to be 8 capital connnection cars in the s type
