I learned a long time ago, that if a deal is going to fall apart, it is always the last minute, because everything is negotiable until you have to sign on the dotted line. I will say that another thing that could make the deal fall apart is if the Big 12 votes against ASU. I am unsure how likely that is, but in the end, it is the Big 12 who has the final decision, not ASU.
What's really hilarious is the pac 12 teams that do go to the b1g will be barely breaking 30 mil and Rutgers and the other bottom feeders will still be getting 60 to 80 mil 😂

Yes possibly. But that could be another issue, because if all the other networks already have games going on, there might not be anyone to piggyback the signal. The downside of Apple, is that it's going to be a paid streaming service, so estimate $50-$70 a year. Other than a teams die hard supporters, nobody is going to pay that when they can already watch football on their cable/satellite/streaming TV service.
College football is about to become something only for the small handful of elite brands. If ASU and UA can't compete in the Pac 12, how will they compete in the Big 12? Nothing about adding Arizona State's leadership makes me comfortable, to me it sounds like part of the problem was their leadership's inability to recognize bad leadership, twice. I get it, a sleeping giant and all as Smoakie calls them, but sometimes their own actions are the reason they stay asleep.
Crow is an ISU allum, and he has (and likely still does) felt that the purpose of the university is to advance knowledge and that sports are not an integral part of the university. Therefore, he has very little experience in any matters related to sports. He has however done what he was hired to do: turn ASU from a joke party school into a Tier 1 research institution. A lot of his vision of ASU is likely tied to the PAC 12 image. I think the conversations with President Robbins at UA have made him realize that sports are useful in marketing the university.
