People seem to be under the impression that shooting is the same as height and you cant teach it.
A player can definitely learn how to shoot. Effort, size, unselfishness are things that you can't teach and things this kid seems to have.
Some players can learn to shoot. We now have three who might not be able to learn.
Trade Duren add two stretch centers. Gamble on two excellent defenders learning to shoot.
Dalton Knecht was a floor spacer but I’m thrilled with Ron Holland.
As always, with Omari on the grass and food takes. 😅. Great pod guys!
Raw and very young. Needs a lot of development.
We are still on our rebuilding path, people need to understand that.
They could have signed Marshall and Oubre for cheaper than they got Harris. I am not impressed
Tyus Jones, Tobias, Derrick Jones or Naji. Should be our top targets. Maybe a big like Jalen Smith. Sasser out of the rotation and Holland spending the first part of the season in the g-league.
NBA lottery here we come in 2025
@@mbwell That was always going to be the case no matter what.
@@mbwell we are going to be a lottery team next year no matter what. We need to create a team and culture that helps our young talented players develop better.
@@timdepaulis2487 Ouch. Not exactly what I needed to hear. But thanks. 😔
@@mbwell it is just facts. I think only once in NBA history has a team finished with the worst record one year then made the playoffs the next year. It just is what it is.
Aye felt seen with the Lawn care shout-out 💪🏽😂
I was at work but had a meeting at 10am. Just finished the episode, thanks guys.
Let's see... Jaden Ivey, Ausar Thompson, Ron Holland, Jalen Duren... WHO THE F#$K IS GOING TO SHOOT THE BALL!?!?!?
Everyone else.
@@scottwickett1273 Ah, yes... Isaiah Stewart will light it up from three.
@@tommcdaniel9554 Again, yes! He hit 38% last year.
@@scottwickett1273 Now we've got Tobias Harris... 🤔
I think the team will be ok with Cade, two non shooters and two shooters. Duren's lack of defense bothers me more.
Just some ideas: Cade, Huerter(?), Ausar, Tobias/Toppin/Naji Marshall(?), Duren.
Bench: Cam Payne(?), Ivey, Holland, Fontec, Stew.
I assume Huerter would not cost that much (Sasser and/or Grimes?+seconds?). If not possible, GTJ, Melton, KCP are FAs and we have money to spend.
I'd also bring Bitadze to put some pressure on Duren.
Good start. We need to add at least one stretch five and probably two.
I'm not sure how much trade value Duren has but we should take what we can get.
I love the thought process here. We need that two type next to Cade or somewhere on the roster. Free agency will allow us to find some more shooters with all the money we can offer
I was really thinking about Goga Bitadze, Drummond, hell maybe we can get a Bobby portis or something?
@@elliottnovak7144 I think Goga adresses the rim protection way better than our dearly Dru. He's also younger, a good passer and way cheaper than Hartenstein.
Portis would be awesome, can play big and stretch the floor. But not cheap. He's under contract in a contender.
Another viable option is Isaiah Jackson. The Pacers has too many bigs and could hear offers.
@@pheralanpathfinder4897 I'd personally also trade Duren, but maybe we should have a bit more patience with a 20yo now under a new coaching and development staff.
His touch terrifies me. 68% from the free throw line? And what 24% from 3. Freat defender and truthfully his athletisim could look a little less spectacular at this level in my opinion. But cant deny the defense and his energy
Maybe Buzelis doesn't fix our spacing problem, but at least he slots in at Power Forward, a spot we need depth at. And he can play defense. And his shooting isn't any worse than Holland.
Ron is gonna be the better defender out of the two.
They should have taken Knecht with the 5th pick. They need shooters Now. Im wishing Holland the best.😢
Fuck no.
