    I never wanna see anyone compare Eren to Lelouch ever again:

      no. lelouch used zero as a symbol of his revenge while tricking the world into thinking hes a symbol for justice when he never cared about it until the very end. thats why he gave the symbol to suzaku who actually fights for justice. lelouch can never become zero again because it already became a manifestation of his hatred. thats why it had to be suzaku. it also symbolizes how suzaku who hated zero the most, had to become zero after he fired the FLEIJA because its him accepting that the world is not black and white and its him finally accepting his sin of killing his father

      @@xenn4985 I have a conspiracy theory. It was noted that the author felt under pressure from the fandom for taking "too long" in finishing the story; my conspiracy theory is that he felt so pissed off at his fans that he intentionally torpedoed the storyline into the most depressing, nihilistic route possible to spite them. Granted, AoT always had a motif of depressing plot options, but the ending is a whole other level of miserable - explicitly showing the deaths of children, horrifically killing beloved comic relief, and then doing a post-story time skip to emphasise that the events of the narrative were entirely pointless.

      it was never about nunnally. lelouch admits to suzaku nunnally was more or less just a excuse. lelouch lamperouge fought for nunnally but after lelouch killed euphy lelouch lamperouge went into the shadows and zero who fights for revenge took the reins. lelouch lamperouge didnt completely come back out until zero finally achieved his revenge. but it was too late, emperor lelouch could never truly go back to being lelouch lamperouge. zero and lelouch lamperouge has assimilated into one. he could never erase the sins he committed as zero. that's why he had to leave nunnally behind. it was a metaphor for how revenge changes a person forever.

    Toto > Is... that who I think it is?
    You know, I never gave this line much thought. I kinda always assumed Toto was just referring to Zero and thought "wow, that's kinda thick of Toto to be fooled so easily"
    But after watching this show literally 20 times over the years, it just occurred to me that Toto is referring to Suzaku! Toto knows Suzaku. How he fights, how he moves. When Toto says "Is that who I think it is?", he thinks it might be Suzaku! THAT'S WHY Kallen jumps in so quickly and cuts him off! She doesn't want Toto to say Suzaku's name out loud, so she cuts him off. That's why he turns and looks at her so quickly.
    I'm sorry Toto, I never gave you the credit you deserved in that moment. I thought you were just reaffirming how duped everyone was.

    • @ig-8892
      @ig-8892 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I thought that too when I watched it. Tohdoh is an underrated character when you consider that it was him training Suzaku that turned Suzaku into the ace combatant that he was. That being said, being Suzaku's trainer would of course make him able to recognize Suzaku's overall fighting style.
      I also think we never got to truly see Tohdoh's character at its full potential, unfortunately. His only tactical feat of winning a victory against Britannia (supposedly without the use of Knightmare Frames at that) in the invasion of Japan was given through exposition, and was unable to replicate anything close to that on-screen. It would have been great if we got to see more competence from him throughout the series because it's always better to demonstrate a character's abilities than to describe them.

    Ironically this follows a pretty common anime trope, "The power of friendship triumphs all". Even though they went through so much suffering both inflicted on the other and brought on by their own actions, only by working together Lelouch and Suzaku achieved the impossible by conquering the world and thereby becoming the enemies of the world destroying their futures to give the world a chance for the better. It is truly a testament to the strength of their friendship even though they wronged each other badly the dedication and resolve that allowed them to put aside their differences was commendable to complete the Zero Requiem. Indeed this was one of, if not the best ending in anime history

    Seriously, it takes some balls to make everybody hate you and then order your best friend to stab and kill you in front of a crowd of people. Like no seriously, even putting all the politics and stuff aside I can only imagine how scared Lelouch must've been on the inside when Suzaku stabbed him. I know it was his idea, and he had sort of accepted his death, made peace with it, but even so... the prospect of actually dying is terrifying. Imagining it is nothing like actually experiencing it, and the pain of getting stabbed through the chest with a sword... yipes! It seriously took a lot of guts for him to do that! People compare Lelouch to Light yagami, but they're nothing alike. Light only killed for his own gain and was unwilling to die for his cause, running away in tears. You know what makes me feel as sad as seeing Lelouch's death? That very little people I know know how great Code Geass is. I mean, my dad loves watching series and films with lots of fighting. He would love this. And when I told my sister about how great it was and how much I loved it, she didn't understand. She told me to stop and her reaction reminded me of when Lelouch was trying to talk to CC in season 1 episode 5 when she simply responded with "Goodnight, Lelouch". She is not an anime fan nor is she into CodeGeass, but if she watches even just the ending, maybe she will see how much I like it. Or the Ashford Academy scenes. Not a whole episode, just a small clip. Because the way my family don't understand my love for Code Geass makes me feel sad sometimes. I am rewatching Code Geass for the first time in 5 years and I have the DVDs and am now currently on Season 1 Episode 10. And for my birthday, my other sister is getting me Lelouch of the Resurrection, and I can't wait! I will probably end up watching it a 2nd or 3rd time because I love Code Geass.
