    Nice Kenworth. ;)
    I built a Boxy survival fully featured semi but I may rip it apart and do more of this kinda design.
    A few things I've added to mine which I'd love to share include
    1.. Interior Courtesy Light (Stays Illuminated for 6 seconds when cab doors open)
    2.. Indicators (Auto Flash with sensors corresponding to turn direction)
    3.. A slow, full length level 5 piston triggers 12 sensors which then get Logic Gated to play Green tote bot heads to the Dukes of Hazard "Dixie" airhorn tune. One more Level one piston was needed to get the last note.
    4.. Brake lights operated by pendulum motion of a concrete 3 block (moves to a ~30 degree sensor) sensor is on a curve pipe offset on a bearing. ( unfortunately brake lights also come on during down hill descents )
    5.. Just had an idea to use a controller, More sensors and More logic blocks to incorporate reverse beeper, Reverse lights and inhibit brake lights when accelerating using a W , S converter.
    6.. A sleeper cab with a sensor so bed doorway opens up so I can leap back into the action if I just Died therefore omitting the chance of attacking bots from destroying my seat and waving bye bye to hours of creation.

  • @roccov3614
    @roccov3614 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    To improve the turning speed you could do what I call fake differential. Connect the left and right gears to different controllers then, with a WASD converter, have the inner gears turn off when turning. That way the left and right wheels will turn at different speeds and you'll turn easier.

  • @CommanderChronicles
    @CommanderChronicles 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    the reason why your having trouble getting out with tight tolerances (ie only just high or wide enough) is that when u test it on a lift or on a completely horizontal surface its fine, but if your vehicle is on a slope, when u get out your not on a slope, so your perfect rectangle hit box is hitting a tilted hitbox.
    steering issue is cause bearings don't allow free movement, so its like driving with locked diffs.

  • @ddssrr1614

    Wicked a fix for the Bearing driven vehicle. I could not for the life of me work out from 2 picture what that guy did to fix it. Welding the axle to the wheels is what he never explained.

    i think piston steering would negate that floppiness of the steering bearing, and also allow you to have the front wheel drive. piston steering is pretty easy to make, it just takes a little bit of extra space. you make a bar, attach the wheel to the center of the bar and put pistons on the opposite side that the wheel is on. a few people made videos on it if you want to check that out. the semi is looking really cool especially for vanilla.

    Make th cab 1 or 2 blocks higher. It make it easy to get out of your seat, and it'd make the truck look more realistic. Also maybe try to fit a bed in front of Bob so; 1 you sleep next to Bob, and 2 you can spawn in your truck if you end up dying, also the cab looks like it'd be a sleeper truck anyways.

    I found that Twenty Bearings in a row, using two controllers, created maximum torque. You could only set the First controller, for the first ten bearings to max. The second HAD to be set one tick lower. If set to max, rubber banding madness forever!!! The furthest two bearings go from each other while still attached was almost half the map height. LOL
    My thought is the second the torque overcomes the friction, everything comes apart, but since it doesn't cause durability damage/break, the game tries to keep it glued together.
    However, the banding stretch it causes a cascade failure in the shock absorber effects. This causes everything to go haywire pretty much permanently until the system is reset to zero state.(lift)

  • @lfaf9509
    @lfaf9509 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    You did a great job on that truck, though its a little off of course. The cabin would be a little taller, and the windows would be about a block or two higher than where they are now. Of course the exhaust would not be connected to the gas tank, but you pointed that out yourself in the video. Usually there are steel steps and rails to help drivers get in of course as well, but me pointing these things out is just nit picking... But this is a game and not real life, so I do not ever expect anyone to be 100% correct lol.
    Even with all those small things, you still did an amazing job on this truck, so keep up the good work :)

LVL 5 seat for better turning angle and now 2 saddles for passengers (I'm thinking to dump saddles and put there a drill arm)

    You should put the steering bearing directly above the wheel, have a pipe bending back into the body to a suspension price and a few bearings for drive leading back out to the wheel beneath the steering bearing. Making a C shape.
    If you're not sure what I mean, check out kAN's video where he builds the semi for the first time...

    Using the same principle you used in the back you can give the front wheels a steering bearing that is only 1 block removed from the wheel like in traditional setups. Then it will have more steering angle when you add a body. If you do that you can also give it the same amount of powered bearings so the front wheel speed matches the rear wheel speed and you get more grip in the front. It seems like the front is rotating at a different speed forcing it to slip.

  • @raczkowskijoe
    @raczkowskijoe 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Not sure this was mentioned but you can do the multiple speeds by locking down the inner bearings to lower your speed on the shaft.

Idea is that that will place a lot of weight over the steering wheels for traction, with plenty of room to hook up a trailer to be supported by the back.
