Not particularly ugly but unbalanced. Ludwig in the varmint or Mr scooty and monster tires. He looks like he could topple over at any moment 💀
As the leader of the lakitu Meta. Lakitu actually is just yoshi with .75 less speed lol. Infact I think their teir is now officially the worst in the game lol. Because it trades speed for traction and traction is just not a good stat in this game lol.

It's so strange to me that they decided to give Villager and Inkling different stats for genders. They're identical in their origin games, and they're exactly the same size anyway, so the weight difference makes no sense either.

11:35 I agree with the animations! When I used the Blue Falcon for the first time, I noticed that the boosters at the back matches the boost colors. It’s so freaking cool! It became my favorite kart since then 😊
I love the blue falcon too, for the same reason (and it's shiny). The downside is the mini turbo sound is a bit quiet. When you can hear it, it sounds really cool though. The inkstriker sounds cool and has a special animation, so I think that's part of why so many people like it
i may be 2 months late, but as a major splatoon fan and inkling girl main, i appreciate you using her!!
also a few things i wanna mention about what you said since i crave to talk about splatoon, this might be a little long lol:

yes, those are tentacles! although, sometimes, even in-universe, the characters refer to it as hair. the only instance of this i can distinctly remember is i believe on the stage quotes for the stage known as kelp dome, where marie of the squid sisters (the main band group in splatoon, consisting of both callie and marie), says you should bring hair spray if you're ever going there. specifically hair spray, not tentacle spray.
(after checking the quotes, yep, it was kelp dome! here's the exact line:
“OK, Marie! What's your advice for this stage?”
“Hairspray. Seriously, the humidity in here is chaos!”)

actually, inklings should probably explode on contact with a blooper's ink. basically, the way inklings work, is that if they get hit with a different ink color, the ink seeps into their thin layer of skin and into their inky insides and then they explode. same thing happens when they come into contact with large amounts of water, which is funny, because they're squids. inklings are fine touching their own color of ink though, as seen by how they can stand, and when in squid form, swim in it just fine, unlike when standing in enemy ink.
also, when inklings explode, or as it's referred to in-universe, get "splatted", they are capable of respawning through respawn points, where they reform their bodies from the pressurized ink inside.

yep, pretty sure the splat buggy is based on splatoon. on the back of it there seems to be an ink tank, what inklings usually wear on their backs while using their weapons, that has the logo of the tentatek brand on it!

The Cute stat pushes Villager girl into SS tier, so happy that she and a bunch of my favorite vehicle parts have gotten good buffs :D
If we were making Blooper affect Inklings differently than everyone else, they'd be slowed down. When walking in enemy ink, you get slowed down a lot, so maybe they'd be slowed down less on a vehicle than on foot. =P
Also, if you didn't know, Inkstriker is literally just an Inkstrike missile from the first Splatoon game modified into a vehicle. ^-^
Character-specific item interactions would get so jank. Imagine if Mario uses a mushroom and he just gets bigger. Or boo can't steal an item from king boo
@@Shortcat321I think that it would be cool to have little Easter eggs with items. For example, what if Mario and Luigi got their fire flower costume when they had the fire flower. Just small animations like that.
@@Shortcat321 It would be jank, but if item frenzies are allowed in Tour, why not have some nonsensical jank like that as a toggle in private lobbies? Keep the worldwide and regional as is, and let private lobbies go even crazier than they already can. XD

I love these kinds of videos because not everyone wants to play the optimal character, but they don’t really want bad stats either. I’m a shy guy player to the end, and it took a hot minute to find the best way to play my favorite character. These videos help with that
I've been a shy guy main since mariokart ds. I would purposely take the ds that didn't have the game so I would play with him. Such a good character

You never have absolute control over your results, but the fun in the game comes from learning to make quick decisions and sacrifices in order to succeed, and using the RNG to your advantage. It’s more like a chaos management game lol

Thank you! Yeah it definitely is like chaos management. Every decision you make only has a probability of working out. But it's your job to repeatedly figure out which option has the best risk:reward ratio
these characters do not lack in stats as much as you think! they make up for it in having the best mini turbo and acceleration on average then even the "meta" characters, they just a little bit of speed which honestly doesnt make such a big difference in the end as youve shown here, i honestly think they are the underdogs of the current meta because nobody expects them to do much, but ive been seeing alot more villager girls and cat peaches online! -a cat peach main
Their acceleration is pretty good! I wouldn't usually trade away 1 speed for 1 accel, since speed matters the entire race and accel only matters when you get hit and have no speed item. But they are so close to the best characters that they're definitely viable!
@@Shortcat321 I feel like accel at least matters a little more now since the nerfs to invincibility for the meta characters though, forgot to mention that, just a teensy buff to that speed stat possibly in wave 6 and we are golden
@@MysticLiquid9683I don’t think the change harmed light characters as much as you think. It was mostly targeted at Yoshi since he had broken speed and also invincibility

Blooper would affect the inkling because the ink color is different

4:24 I actually kind of like that color. It’s like a bronzey sort of brown that makes the bike look antique in a way. But it’s only available with cat peach and pink gold peach so no, not using it. I wish they would’ve given it to a few other characters

my main is Inkling Girl, Cat Cruiser, GLA, and Paper Glider. Seeing some appreciation shown to the Inkling Girl weight class is so nice

Glad you mentioned the problems with wiggler's animation... One of my favorite parts of wiggler on 7 was the way his arms move while drifting and moving in general, it was a really dynamic part of his character a lot of other characters didn't have, it really is sad seeing one of the characters I was looking forward the most for really just not be as cool as they originally were

Extra: inklings blood is made of ink and their ink dissolves in water (heard that in the story mode I think)

Omg while watching this video I noticed that the ink in the splat buddy/inkstriker will match the color of the inklings, and the inklings only! For every other character it will default to purple ink. I thought that's a very cool detail!!

Shortcat you might not see this because it’s a newer comment and I don’t know if someone already said it but I totally agree the ink splatters on the car look great and the other car that has it is the circuit special, which is what I use if I’m going to play as any inkling, and the standard glider also has this design so even though it’s not the best combo, I like using Inkling girl or boy (preferably the pinky inkling girl and the darker blue inkling boy,) circuit special, a various wheel, usually the white off road ones to make up for the traction, and the standard glider
I've mained Inkling Girl since DX came out. Glad to see she's not terrible! Though I should probably play a better kart than the City Tripper

It is a different color and type of ink so it makes sense that the blooper affect the inklings.

I have a 100% win rate on Squeaky Clean Sprint because I don't own the DLC so the only times I played were twice online and I got first both times
About the inkling being affected by the blooper, it makes sense, the car is the one affected so its slippery, as to why the vision get blocked that's an ez answer, youre not playing with a black ink inkling and there's no black ink inkling other than sometimes in splatfests if nintendo feels like it, and if we're using logic then the blooper should almost kill the character because it's not their ink color, and if you really want it to affect the car, then if the car has inkling properties, the car should slow down, so the blooper wouldn't make sense as a boost, but it would as a weapon, hopefully Mario provided a spawner to the inkling so if they die they revive
Edit: in Wii U mk8 the coin item gives u 2 coins, did nintendo remove that from the deluxe version?

Villager was my main before Birdo got added! Such a fun addition to the roster. I really wish the AC characters had alternate skins like Yoshi, Shy Guy, Inklings, and Birdo but the designs they picked are pretty cute.

Well actually it does make sense that the blooper affects inklings and even more it should *slow* them cause in Splatoon enemy ink slows you, reveals your position and kills you 💀
i've been getting a bit bored of daisy teddybuggy, so i decided to switch to villager girl with the pipe frame. it's very similar other than the slightly worse speed, and it just works so well visually with the pink pipe frame and red rollers matching her color scheme.
Having a good looking combo is SO underrated. It really adds to the enjoyment of the game
